Well, last time, Thor was in a catty mood, but today, it seems he’s decided it’s a dog eat dog world out there. Me, I think he’s doggone crazy. But regardless, when someone says “dog” to me, I immediately think “dachshunds,” because … CUTE!!! So, here’s a bit of dachsie humor for you, compliments of the God of Thunder, himself. Enjoy!
Hope these little stubby-legged sausages gave you a smile or two.
(I miss ours more than I can say!)

I love all of these and they could apply to my two as well. Especially the “I don’t have to be good, I’m cute,” one!!

Apply to you personally, or because you’ve owned a cute dachsie? (Just checkin’.) 😁Glad you enjoyed them, either way, and thanks for stopping by today to let me know. 😀 ❤

Yup, it applies to me and my cute doggies (even though they aren’t dachsies, they are incredibly cute) 💖😘

Well as long as they are CUTE, all is well, and I know you can appreciate these today. 😀 Thanks for sorting that out. 😂😂😂

A truly funny sample of dachsie humour. The “Whitney Houston” and the one giving the side-eye look are priceless! Many thanks for the pick-me-up, Marcia. ❤ 😀 ❤

So glad you got a pick-me-up from these, Trish! I miss my dachsies every day, and some of these images were very, very familiar to me. I agree on both of your choices! Dachshunds … so much fun in such small packages!
Thanks for stopping by this morning and taking the time to say hello! 😀 ❤

I don’t think I knew you were a former dachshund owner, Joan! That makes another thing we have in common, along with your love of classic rock groups, and who knows what else! 😁Our little guys are gone, but definitely not forgotten!
Thanks for stopping by this morning and taking a moment to say hello! 😀 ❤

We had two – a mother and daughter. The mother was red, the daughter black and tan. They lived to be ancient!

Aw, how sweet!!
We’ve had three over the years, two red & white piebalds and one chocolate and tan. The first one had a heart problem and we lost him too soon. The other two made it considerably longer. While we no longer have the energy involved with being good dog owners, and are sticking to cats (lower maintenance and impossible for ME to survive without, even WITH dogs), we definitely miss ours: Oscar Meyers Beanie Wienie, Sir Hairy Potter of Sanford, and Dancing with Weiners Star Maksim Hotdogski. (Otherwise known as Oscar, Potter, and Maks.)

We’re sticking with cats as well. A lot less maintenance. 🙂 Our dachshunds were already named when we got them. Gretchen was the mom and the daughter was named Snickerdoodle. I shortened it to Snicker. 🙂

Good names! I know, because we had a tortoiseshell cat named Snickers. (A little girl at the vet’s office saw me holding her for her first visit, and she said, “If that kitten was mine, I’d call her Snickers after these caramel colored streaks in her fur.” I thought it was brilliant, and told her she had just named my new cat.
And definitely yes to the less maintenance thing. You can go out for the day and come home without finding the couch legs chewed up or a mess on the floor. Dogs are worth the extra work/time when you are young and energetic enough, but we’ve passed that point. Our four cats are plenty for us now. (May have to do a post about pets one of these days, just for fun.)

Lol! Great selection! Love the one about the ball . His side-eye could give a cat a run for its money. 😂😂

As the owner of lovable yet mischievous Labs, I promise… those memes aren’t all dachshund-specific. Thanks for the smiles, Marcia.

True. They’re not even totally DOG-specific, as I’ve seen some of those expressions on my cats. But dachsies DO manage to fit a lot of fun and mischief into a very, very small package. 😁Glad you got some smiles either way, Staci, and thanks for stopping by to let me know. 😀 ❤
