Here it is, time for that legendary God of Thunder to share a few laughs with us. Yes, I know. He doesn’t look like he has much of a sense of humor, but believe me. He does. (And even if he didn’t, which of us is brave enough to tell him so?) Today, he was bragging about being as courageous as a lion, so I thought that would be a good direction to go. Enjoy!

Betcha if I asked you to name Thor’s favorite Christmas song, you would never have guessed it had anything to do with Alvin & the Chipmunks, would ya? Welp–you’d have been wrong. It seems Thor finds that song hilarious, and likes to play it over and over on his iPhone. (What? You thought the giant Norse God of Thunder wouldn’t be caught dead with an iPhone? How the heck do you think he keeps up with his social media while on the go?)
Chipmunks and iPhones aside, Thor specifically asked me to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday Season, so with that in mind, here are a few memes we both hope will make you laugh.

Thor is doing his happy dance today, and believe me, it’s quite a sight to behold! He’s delighted that winter is officially here, since–as a Norse god–he appreciates it more than any other season. Yep. He loves snow, though I confess, images of him going sledding or building a snowman just make me snicker. Please don’t tell him I said that, though. He does wield a mighty big hammer, after all. For some truly bizarre reason, Thor decided he needs to know more about wildlife around the world. I thought that was a fine idea, but have to admit, I was a bit taken aback when he told me where he wanted to start. It seems he wants to know more about emus. I can’t say for sure, but I suspect he’s been watching way too much tv lately. At any rate, I’m going to indulge him, as I usually do. Brace yourselves. Emus are now on parade! 😀
You wouldn’t think the Norse God of Thunder would be all that interested in Halloween, but Thor seems to look forward to it every year. He says it’s because he finds witches fascinating, but I suspect it’s more about Trick or Treating. (I’m told he has quite the sweet tooth.) At any rate, he asked for witches, so here they are! Yesterday, Thor informed me that autumn is his very favorite time of the year, and he was expecting to see some good memes today. Since it’s my favorite time of the year, too, I thought I’d indulge him. (Well, that, and the fact that nobody argues with a man garbed in a metal suit and carrying a honkin’ big hammer!) Today, I found Thor scratching his head, and asking the same question over and over and over: “Who is this guy? Who IS this guy?” I wasn’t sure what to tell him, since his only frame of reference was this set of memes he found when messing around on my computer again. (Something he’s NOT supposed to do, btw, but I haven’t yet figured out how to stop him. I mean, hello? Norse God of Thunder, and all … 😁) I did promise him I’d show you the pictures that have him so perplexed. You can decide for yourself if you want to enlighten him. I’m staying out of it. 😂)
Well, whaddya know? Apparently, even Norse gods get nostalgic about their youth. It’s back to school time around here, and Thor is all dewy-eyed over the fun times he had in Math class. Okay, I made that part up, but he IS feeling a bit emotional about days gone by in general, and heading back to school, specifically, so just to let him know I understand, here are a few memes to make him (and hopefully some of you) smile. Summer sun is still beating down on us here in Florida, making life pretty miserable in general, but I promised Thor a trip to the beach. *sigh* The thought of him trudging along over the dunes in 500 pounds of sweat-retaining armor was more than I could stand, so I’m hoping he doesn’t notice I’ve made our seaside visit a virtual one. (He isn’t always the sharpest of tacks in the tool box, you know. ) Anyway, I hope you enjoy our little Beach Vacay, no matter what Thor may be complaining about. (I’ve heard getting sand inside one’s armor can be quite uncomfortable.) 😁😁😁
