#ThorsDaySmile – #AmLaughing – #Humor

Summer sun is still beating down on us here in Florida, making life pretty miserable in general, but I promised Thor a trip to the beach. *sigh* The thought of him trudging along over the dunes in 500 pounds of sweat-retaining armor was more than I could stand, so I’m hoping he doesn’t notice I’ve made our seaside visit a virtual one. (He isn’t always the sharpest of tacks in the tool box, you know. ) Anyway, I hope you enjoy our little Beach Vacay, no matter what Thor may be complaining about. (I’ve heard getting sand inside one’s armor can be quite uncomfortable.) 😁😁😁

And that’s a Day at the Beach for You!|
Hope you got a chuckle or two.

    • No damage to central Florida at all, Beth, thankfully. And if you didn’t guess, I scheduled this post weeks ago. Not sure I’d care for being on the beach today, especially not on the Gulf of Mexico side. Eeep.

Hope you got some laughs, even if the timing was weird. 😀 ❤

  1. That last one is wonderful – but the one I’ve looked at the most is the ‘gorilla’ one. It took me ages to work it out! Thanks for the chuckles and I hope your day has plenty of smiles in it despite Idalia and rogue dentists. ❤ 😀 ❤

    • I had to look at that one a long time, too, Cathy. SO funny, once I could see the man! I’m glad you enjoyed it, and yes! Why does weather always have to be from one extreme to another? Maybe we’d get bored if it weren’t, but it probably wouldn’t be life-threatening! 😀 ❤

    • Glad you enjoyed these, Jeanne!

I don’t do beaches these days, I’m afraid, even when they aren’t flooded or stormy. Too much sun growing up in Florida, and way too many skin cancers as a result. Now a canoe paddle down a deeply shaded stream is something else! Until my back started bothering me, that was my favorite kind of outing for years and years. And I suspect you’re right to wait a while for a beach visit, so you can really enjoy it when you do go. 😀 ❤

      • I live in Virginia Beach and haven’t been to the beach in years. I used to like just walking along the shore. I’d like to go do that again but it’s tourist season so it’s really crowded at the oceanfront. I usually just end up walking in the parks now. There’s one nature reserve that I like to go to that has a branch of a river and is nice to taking pictures.

        • Shady nature trails and streams/rivers are by far my favorites these days. And even so, I don’t go out until the temps start to drop, which probably won’t happen until at least October or so. I used to enjoy walking on the beach at night, many years ago, but I really can’t remember the last time I went during the day. Parks are good, though, especially if they are also wildlife preserves. Hope you get to enjoy plenty of that! 😀 ❤

    • Glad you enjoyed these, Gwen, and I liked that one, too. (Even though I haven’t been to the beach in many years. I don’t do “sun” well.) Hope you keep smiling all day, my friend! 😀 ❤

    • Beaches of grass count, too, Michael. And ponds are wonderful places to see all kinds of interesting and often beautiful wildlife. I actually am not a big beach goer, preferring ponds and best of all, RIVERS. 😀 Maybe I’ll see if Thor wants to do a post on those one day. 😀

Thanks so much for stopping by (you’ve been missed) and hope your weekend is turning out to be lovely!
      😀 ❤
