    • I know! I’m seriously worried about him, now, though. I haven’t quite forgiven Butcher for destroying Harry’s lab/apartment. I know Harry Dresden has grown in all his wizardly skill, and is on to bigger and bigger adventures with each book, but boy, I miss that cozy lab, with the city laid out on the table, and Bob laid out on the shelves. (With his racy novels.) And does this mean you are a Dresden Files fan? I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, no doubt. The Dresden Files is my favorite urban fantasy series of all time. Forzare!

    • I know. Bob the Skull is one of the all-time great characters! He never fails to make me laugh, and I miss his presence in these last books. Hoping for a reunion SOON! But why is Jim Butcher torturing us so, with this long, LOOOOOOOOONG wait for the next book? I’ve had to resort to reading about lesser wizards all over the place, and not one of them has a wise-cracking skull hangin’ about! 😦

      • I know. I hate the waiting. He does that that other series of his, the Calderon series, he’s probably been working on that. I hope there’ll be a new Dresden book soon, with more of Bob in it. In the meantime, I’ve been rereading Dresden Files and Harry Potter to pass the time.

        • I’ve read the Furies of Calderon, and I THINK that one’s done. BUT, he’s started another series called the Cinder Spires. The first book is The Aeronaut’s Windlass, and it was a very good start to what promises to be another great series, and a good way to get a Jim Butcher fix while waiting.

Aeronaut’s Windlass came out since his last Dresden book, Skin Game, so I think it has slowed him down. But geeeeesh. Harry’s going to get OLD before the next one is released. And I’ll never forgive him if he changes cover models. John Paul Pfeiffer has been Harry from the get-go, and I can’t accept anyone else in that part! (Me, OCD? Naaah. Just loyal. And Pfeiffer is utterly perfect as Dresden.)

Oh, yeah. I’m a cover geek, for sure.

          • Oh, yeah, that’s right. Cinder Spires. I was getting that confused. Been a long day. I do enjoy the Dresden cover model 🙂 I just get hung up sometimes over the cowboy hat. But I have kinda gotten used to it seeing it now.

            • Even though Harry never wears a hat in the books, I love how mysterious he looks with one. I really like it. There IS one cover of him much younger with no hat, but I prefer him with it. If you haven’t read the Cinder Spires book, you might give it a try, though re-reading The Dresden Files is always a worthwhile project. I love how you can see Butcher’s growth as a writer, and the growth of each character in the series, too, when you go back over them like that.

Been a long day here, too. Going to bed now, myself, with my trusty Kindle, and hoping to stay awake long enough to read at least a bit. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to see you visit often. 🙂
