Lest We Forget!

Lest We Forget!

My guest today is Tudor specialist Tony Riches, author of the best-selling Tudor Trilogy. Welcome to The Write Stuff, Tony. Let’s talk about your books.
Where did the idea for writing the Tudor trilogy come from?
I began looking into the life of Owen Tudor, the Welsh servant who married a queen, and was surprised to discover his amazing story. As my research progressed I began to collect fascinating details of the lives of Owen’s sons, Edmund and Jasper. I realised that if I planned it as a trilogy, Henry Tudor would be born in the first book, come of age in the second and become King of England in the final book.
Why do you think this is the first full-length novel about Henry Tudor? Continue reading
There’s no better way to start the day than to find someone sharing your latest book, and Sally Cronin is doing just that today. Check out her post on both That Darkest Place and on author Shehanne Moore. Sally ROCKS! And please share her post while you are there, so others can find both Shehanne’s books, and mine. Ahh. Life is good! 🙂
Today, I’m pleased to let you know that I’m a guest on Sue Vincent’s Daily Echo, a lovely blog and a great place to visit. I hope you’ll stop by and see what Forrest Painter has to say about the whole thing. (He’s introducing an excerpt from That Darkest Place, which features him trying to figure out how to begin a real relationship.) Hope you’ll enjoy it, and pass it along. Thanks!

Thank you for another wonderful opportunity to chat with your followers, Sue. I’m so pleased to be here, today, to announce the release of my latest book, That Darkest Place: Riverbend Book 3.
I’m so excited about this one, I thought I’d share a short, non-spoilery excerpt from the book for your amusement, and have Forrest Painter, the middle Painter boy, set it up for you.
“You ready, Forrest??
“Aw, hell. You know I’m no good at this kinda stuff. Even with you to put words in my mouth, I mess things up. Why can’t Hunter do it? You gave him the gift of sayin’ things right, not me.”
“That’s because I made you the sexy one, remember? I think you can do this, though. Or do you want me to get testimonials from half the women in Riverbend?”
“No! If you put it like that, I’ll do it. You…

Mae Clair invited me to do a guest post on her blog, today. Needless to say, I was very happy to oblige, and hope you guys will check it out, and pass it along. THANKS!! (And thanks again to Mae, for having me stop by.)
Sometimes insanity just prevails and you have to roll with the flow. I was offline most of the weekend, intending to do the bulk of catching up on Monday. Unfortunately, Monday arrived complete with a power outage. UGH! So now I’m playing catch up on top of catch up, which is why I missed some of my usual blog rounds yesterday. I’ve got my fingers crossed that I don’t get hit with any more unexpected glitches. One really nice plus to put things in perspective is my guest today, Marcia Meara.
Marcia and I have been friends for a while, but this is her first guest appearance on my blog. I hope you’ll give her a warm welcome!
I’ve read her entire Wake Robin Ridge series, which I can highly recommend, and I’ve also read Swamp Ghosts, the first book in her Riverbend series. Book two is on my…

Definitely going to try this when I finish publishing That Darkest Place. Harmony’s instructions are very easy to understand. Check it out. 🙂
Hello SEers! Harmony here 🙂
Today, I’d like to take a look at how to offer autographs on your digital books using Authorgraph. Also, you can get this service embedded on your blog/website rather easily. How cool is that?
With Authorgraph, you can send, request, or receive author autographs. It’s easy to sign up (for FREE) using this link: https://www.authorgraph.com/signin
This takes you to a page that looks like this:

Once you’ve signed in, you have a few options:

You can add all of your ebooks, as long as you have them listed on the Amazon platform. You will need an Amazon ASIN for each book, which you can find in a number of places such as your KDP account books page or your book sales page. Once you have that, then input it as so …

And click on ‘Add Book’.
Repeat this for each of your Amazon ebooks.

Fun post at Story Empire today. Joan talks about making a special place for writing, and the comments are interesting. Check it out! 🙂
Hello, SE Readers. Joan here on this first day of May. Can anyone tell me what happened to April? It seems to have disappeared…
Anyhow, today I want to talk about having a dedicated place in which to write.
A few weeks ago, fellow Story Empire author Craig Boyack mentioned he was going to retreat into his writing cabin. I immediately responded that I would love to have a small cabin just for writing. That’s when I learned his place wasn’t an actual cabin, but an area in his home where he retreats to write.
Okay, I admit to having a fascination with cabins. So much that I have an entire Pinterest Board titled “I’d Like to Write Here.” It has photos of cabins (and a few other spots) that I think would make ideal writing places. Oh to have such a place where I could be free…

Who would have thought April would be this busy?
First the Roadshow Tour, then my personal RRBC Spring Blog Party post. Then there were guest posts and friends’ new releases.
Today, as the month winds down, I have two more things to share.
I hope you visit. The post writers would love to hear from you!
Hi all — A few months ago I announced that I was having a Goodreads Giveaway to promote my tween book, PAIRS AT NATIONALS. Several people said they’d like to know if it helped with sales. Unfortunately, it didn’t. You can find out more at my new blog post. http://elizabethvollstadt.blogspot.com
