For some truly bizarre reason, Thor decided he needs to know more about wildlife around the world. I thought that was a fine idea, but have to admit, I was a bit taken aback when he told me where he wanted to start. It seems he wants to know more about emus. I can’t say for sure, but I suspect he’s been watching way too much tv lately. At any rate, I’m going to indulge him, as I usually do. Brace yourselves. Emus are now on parade! 😀

many of them as I can handle at one time.

You wouldn’t think the Norse God of Thunder would be all that interested in Halloween, but Thor seems to look forward to it every year. He says it’s because he finds witches fascinating, but I suspect it’s more about Trick or Treating. (I’m told he has quite the sweet tooth.) At any rate, he asked for witches, so here they are! Enjoy! 😀

That does it for the witches. Now we just have to hope
our spoiled God of Thunder doesn’t start
demanding flying monkeys!

Change of Pace today. Instead of a Classic poem of great beauty or deep meaning, I decided to share a poem I wrote myself, years ago. I had hoped to do a second book of my poetry and include it there, but that may or may not happen. So I figured, what the heck! I’m sharing the “profound truth” of it here  and now, and hope it makes you smile.

Things I Have Learned #1

TV ads we all endure
Proclaim loudly “We have the cure!”
You try it out, and find it’s good,
Why can’t they leave it as they should?
Beware the label “New and Improved,”
It really means you’ve just been scrooved.

And there you have my deepest thoughts
on television advertising and marketing in general!
Hope it inspired a chuckle or two.

Today, I found Thor scratching his head, and asking the same question over and over and over: “Who is this guy? Who IS this guy?” I wasn’t sure what to tell him, since his only frame of reference was this set of memes he found when messing around on my computer again. (Something he’s NOT supposed to do, btw, but I haven’t yet figured out how to stop him. I mean, hello? Norse God of Thunder, and all … 😁) I did promise him I’d show you the pictures that have him so perplexed. You can decide for yourself if you want to enlighten him. I’m staying out of it. 😂)

 But for goodness sake, don’t anyone tell Thor about John Wick!
