Hi, Everybody! I’m guessing you know that it’s time for another #ThorsDaySmile post, and are probably wondering if Thor is finally coming out of the snit he’s been in lately. I was thinking he had cheered up a bit, but once he told me what he’d really like to see today, I have to admit I’m having second thoughts about that. But whether he’s still being grumpy or is just becoming an ardent reptile fan, here’s what he asked for: Alligators. Lots and lots of alligators! Oddly enough, there aren’t nearly as many funny pictures of these big lizards as there are of most critters, but I did my best, so here you go: Thor’s Alligators on Parade! Enjoy!

And that’s it for Gators On Parade, folks!
Hope you got a chuckle or two from some of these.

I did get quite a few chuckles with this selection, Marcia 😄 Thor’s choice was a good one! Have a great day 💕🤗

Thanks, Cathy! I’m so glad you got some chuckles, and I’ll pass the word along to Thor. Thanks, also, for stopping by today to let us know. Hope you have a great ThorsDay! 😀 ❤

Marcia, some great ones here and I love the reference to Dirty Dancing’s most famous scene! Also I agree there are some great untold stories behind a couple. Who on earth feeds drugs to alligators?!

Glad you enjoyed them, Annika. I loved that Dirty Dancing one, too! As for the drugs sign, Snopes says it was a joke, so I’m going with that. I’ve seen many an alligator in my day, but so far, never one that appeared stoned, and that works for me. 😀
Thanks for stopping by today and taking a moment to share your thoughts. Hope you have a wonderful afternoon! 😀 ❤

Egrets, I’ve had a few – superb!! The critter at the door puts my fear of spiders into some kind of context, and I’ll pass on the comfort alligator (have a feeling it wouldn’t be welcome on many flights). Thanks to you for starting my day with a grin, and thanks to Thor for the suggestion! 🤣 ❤️ 🤣

So glad you enjoyed today’s selection, Trish, and I’ll pass the word along to Thor. He’ll be happy. (Or at least less grumpy! 😀 )
I loved the egrets one, too. (Song references are usually among my faves.) And btw, it would take a LOT more than a little alligator to comfort me on any airplane flights these days.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and taking a moment to say hello! Hope you have a wonderful ThorsDay ahead! 😀 ❤

Lol 😂 Excellent selection Marcia. I can’t help wondering about the story behind that last one 😆

Glad you enjoyed these, Jeanne. And Snopes says the last one is a joke. I think they’re right, though all I know is that I’ve seen many an alligator in my life, and have yet to come across one who seemed to be under the influence! 😀 But it made me laugh, anyway, so I shared it.
Thanks so much for stopping by this morning and taking a moment to say hello, and here’s to a great rest of your day! 😀 ❤

I kinda thought it was a joke, but nowadays you never know…

I wasn’t sure either, which is why I finally decided to look it up. Happily, it’s apparently just a funny sign. 😀

OMG, these are hilarious, Marcia. The one explaining why women live longer than men is off-the-charts funny. 🤣

So glad you liked them, Gwen! And I LOVE that one, too. 😀 (It and the Dirty Dancing one are probably my favorites in the group.) Thanks so much for stopping by to share your thoughts (which I’ll pass along to Thor), and here’s to a wonderful rest of the day! 😀 ❤

Mercy me! Who would jog on the road with a history of alligator sightings? These were hilarious, Marcia
LikeLiked by 1 person
Actually, jogging down the center of that road would probably be perfectly safe, though walking over to where they are sunning themselves next to their pond would be industrial strength stupid, indeed. But I’ve walked many a road in various sanctuaries where gators were lying on the bank only fifteen feet or so away. They aren’t hunting at that point, though provoking them by getting right up close and personal would not be something I’d recommend. 😬(Nor would I hoist one over my head, either. Urk.)
Glad you got some laughs, Nancy. Thanks so much for stopping by to let me know, and hope you have a wonderful afternoon! 😀 ❤

Fun ones, Marcia. Gotta wonder what that guy was doing in an alligator suit.

I know! I’ve dreamed up several ideas, none of which seem likely. He’s not even carrying a camera or the like. I simply can’t think of any reason that makes sense.
Glad you got some laughs, though, and thanks for stopping by to say hello. If I ever come across the answer to what the alligator man was doing, I’ll let you know. 😀 Have a great afternoon! 😀 ❤

I want a comfort alligator, which leads one to imagine a therapy alligator, or an assistance alligator…

Believe it or not, I AM comforted by alligators … as long as they stay on the banks of the river as I canoe past them. They are part of the scene and I love seeing them there. Having said that, I have no immediate plans to have one on my lap! Urk! 😁
Glad you enjoyed today’s post, Janet, and thanks so much for stopping by today! 😀 ❤

I love the baby alligator.
But hallucinogens and alligators?! Definitely a story behind that one!
Thank you for sharing, Marcia, it definitely made me smile!

Not to worry about a multitude of stoned gators, Jackie. Snopes says it’s a joke, not a real happening. Thankfully. I’m guessing folks who’d have those drugs probably wouldn’t want to waste them on alligators! 😂
Glad you got some smiles, and thanks so much for letting me know. Here’s to a super weekend ahead! 😀 ❤

Isn’t that one a hoot?! I love it, too, though for the life of me, I can’t figure out what that guy is doing, nor why. 😀
Glad you enjoyed these, Jan! Thanks so much for stopping by to let me know, and hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead. 😀 ❤
