Yep, it’s this week’s break day again, so I won’t be around much today. I’ll mostly be getting ready for my wildlife talk tomorrow, which means, I won’t be around much tomorrow either. By then, I’ll be busy setting up for said talk, giving said talk, and packing up to go home after said talk.
This being the case, I’m wishing you guys a great rest of your Friday and a wonderful Saturday. I’ll be back either Sunday or Monday. (Or both, if I’m lucky!)
You guys behave … or not … while I’m gone!
Hope it all goes well, Marcia!

Me too, Jan! I’m crossing my fingers that the astonishing fatigue that comes with LongCOVID stays the heck AWAY for a long time. (At least long enough for me not to fall asleep right in the middle of my talk tomorrow. Now THAT would be embarrassing! π)

Thanks, Cindy! My audiences are great (translation: they laugh at all of my jokes) and sharing some of what I’ve learned about Florida wildlife with them gives me great pleasure! I’m looking forward to this one! π β€

Me, too!! Oh, that would be so much fun!! I’d love to look out at the audience and see your smiling face, and those of other friends I’ve made in this blogging/writing community! It would be absolutely fantastic! I’m still feeling pretty good today, even with all the prep work I’ve been doing, so I have high hopes that the tomorrow will go well, and I’ll come home stoked like I usually do after one of these talks.
Thanks for stopping by, Trish. Maybe someday ……………..

Thanks, Teri. It’s been weeks since I’ve given a talk, and even after all these years, I’m nervous tonight. But as soon as the first smiling face comes through the door, I’ll relax and have fun with everyone. Can’t wait for that part. π

I’m so glad to hear that you’re giving talks again, Marcia. That’s wonderful… and a fun topic – pointy teeth! Have a lovely Sunday, my friend. Hugs.

Thanks, Diana. It went SUPER well, I think. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, and they laughed at my jokes, and dropped their jaws over some of the facts I shared with them. And many stayed afterward to thank me. Even sold a couple of books, too. All in all, I came home exhausted, but thoroughly uplifted! And well hugged, too. It seems a few of my regulars missed me! You can’t beat that!
I’m going to finish the year with just one talk a month, but I’m hoping in January to return to two per month, so I can visit both of my venues each month. It’s a lot of work to put these together, but they are so rewarding to do, I want to go back 24 a year instead of 12. I did an SE post on the benefits of meeting the public face to face, and talking about various things. (It doesn’t always have to be about writing.) I think I might share that tomorrow, just to encourage a few more folks to give it a try.
See ya later, Alligator! π (Couldn’t resist!) π β€

I can’t wait to start doing book fairs again. I miss that face to face contact, and I think the visitors do too. I can imagine that your talks are a blast. Sounds like a plan. π
