Staci Troilo has happy news to share! Hope you’ll check out her post, and pass the word along! Congratulations, Staci! 🙂
Well, I think it’s about six months late, give or take a week or so, but at long last I can happily announce the release of Body Armor, book 3 of the Medici Protectorate series.
Many of you have asked when it was coming, and I’ve been vague in my answers because a litany of bizarre issues kept pushing the release back. But it’s finally here, at least in a limited capacity.
The eBook is available on Amazon, and more eBook carriers will be added soon. The paperback and hardcover versions are also on the way. I am sharing the Universal Purchase Link because other vendors will automatically be added to it as the title becomes available at other retailers.
Thank you for your patience in waiting for its release. I hope you enjoy reading the story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Some of you may remember, I was inspired by a post of Don Massenzio’s to give audio books a try, via ACX. Then a tree decided to fall on our house, and everything came to a halt, including work on this project. I’m thrilled to say that I finally got back to work on this and a few other things, and voila! I now have my first audio book available on Amazon!
This process was one that, while costing me nothing but time, turned out to be a real learning experience. I’m eager to do it again, this time with a greater sense of what I’m really looking for, and how I want to approach it. But rest assured, it is definitely something that each of you should consider. The market is a large one, and growing steadily, and it is something you should offer your readers, regardless of the number of sales generated.
I’m going to do a longer post on the process soon, and maybe that will encourage any of you who are on the fence to give it a go. In the meantime, just know that you have the option to split your royalties with your producer (narrator) so that if, like me, you are on budget, it will not cost you a thing to get your audio book out there.
Stay tuned for more information, just as soon as I have time to put together a comprehensive post. For now, I just want to get the word out. To listen to a sample of Swamp Ghosts on audio, go to my Swamp Ghosts Audio sales page. You’ll see the “Audio Sample” link directly beneath the cover image. Swamp Ghosts on Audio
As promised, here are my new Riverbend memes. Feel free to share if you like and have the time. (And if any of these sound interesting to you, by all means check them out on Amazon. )
😀

And of course, I have to include the Riverbend spinoff novella.

A great laugh that reached me via Nicholas Rossis. This made my day! Thanks, Daily Walk Talks! 🙂
I was going though my mobile gallery found an image, I don’t know who actually wrote it, but wanted to share it with you guys because it is hilarious AF. 😛
I am trying to make friends outside of Facebook while applying the same principles.
Therefore, every day I walk down the street and tell passers-by what I have eaten, How I feel at the moment, what I have done the night before, what I will do later and with whom.
I give them pictures of my family, my dog and of me gardening, taking things apart in the garage, watering the lawn, standing in front of landmarks, driving around town, having lunch and doing what anybody and everybody does every day.
I also listen to their conversations, give them the “thumbs up” and tell them I like them.
And it works just like Facebook! I already have four…

Took some time away from Irma Issues to make a few basic, but long overdue, memes for my books. Thought maybe I’d share them here, in case any of you wanted to pass them along. My next batch are going to be artsier, but this is a start.
Also wondering how many of you use images like these when you tweet, or post on FB? I know Mae Clair does, because she created some truly beautiful graphics for her Point Pleasant series. How about the rest of you? Just curious.

Check out Rosie Amber’s great list of spooky reads. Very cool list, and I was surprised (happily so) to find a really familiar title about half way down. Hint: it mentions Swamps. And Ghosts. 😀 Do take a look at ALL the titles she’s suggesting, though. I’m putting several on my TBR list. Happy Halloween, everyone!
A wonderful little short story by Sally Cronin to put you in the mood for Halloween. Enjoy! 🙂

The good news: We finished laying the new living room floor, which we were ready to start doing when Irma hit. We still have to finish the dining room, repaint, and install new baseboards. But the new flooring looks MAH-velous!
The bad news, no time to do my update post on all that’s happened over the last two weeks. No, demo hasn’t started yet, but permit applications have been filed, and some other things have happened. I’ll try to catch up on that tomorrow.
The other good news is that I found an hour to make some new memes for my books, for Twitter, etc. While I was at it, I made a new “Review Meme.” Feel to use this any way you like, with my sincere hope that it reminds/inspires some of your readers to leave a review for you. Enjoy!
BOO!
😀

And one more, just because I think spiders are about as scary as it gets!
