I know some parts of the state took some hits and have various levels of damage to deal with, but we were very lucky. No trees down, no debris piled up today, and no damage in our neighborhood that I can see.
It IS blinkin’ HOT outside, though, so I’m staying inside for now. Mark is repairing a section of our stockade fence that went down, but all things considered, we came through Milton just fine, happily! I’m looking forward to cooler weather, for sure, but other than that, no complaints!
Hope all is well with all of you, too?

Is that your sky? What a beautiful blue with clouds like puffs of angels’ breath.

Sorry, but I don’t know exactly where that picture was taken. I just liked it because that IS what our sky looked like yesterday. Glad you liked it, too! 😊❤️

Those pesky Siberian palm trees can sure be hard to find, can’t they, Michael? 😁 Come to Florida and enjoy ours! You’d love them!! xx Marcia

Great news, Marcia!
As for me, I can’t really complain…not that it’d do me any good, anyway.

Complaining never really does any good, I suppose, but that sure doesn’t stop me from indulging in it fairly often! 😂 Glad to know you don’t have anything happening that warrants it, though. That’s great news, too! 😁❤️

I’m so glad you’ve had such a lucky escape – it must have been terrifying waiting for Milton and wondering what the outcome would be. ❤ ❤ ❤

When you’ve lived the better part of 80 years with these kinds of events happening now and then, you just learn to prepare for the worst and go on hoping for the best. We’ve been in this house for over 20 years now, and so far, so good as far as hurricanes go. This one went over us, complete with lashing rains and plenty of wind, but as I mentioned, we escaped any damage, so I’m not gonna complain at all! 😉❤️

A welcome sight. It must be the worst feeling, wondering how much damage a hurricane will cause.

I’d say it’s the second worst feeling, Pete. The first worst feeling is looking out the window after a bad storm and seeing it has definitely wreaked havoc all over the place. GAH!!
😮😬😠

Great to hear that you got through the hurricane okay. Wow! That was something.

Thanks, Debra! We lucked out again with this one. Others here and there weren’t so fortunate. Oh, how I hate hurricanes!! 😠

Thanks, Yvette. I was SO relieved when it was all over and there was nothing outside to have to deal with, except a bunch of bamboo leaves scattered all over the place. Yay!! 😁

It sure is, Jan! I mostly avoid going out in the sun (due to many skin cancer issues over the years), but that doesn’t mean I’m not DELIGHTED to see it again! 😁What a relief to watch that hurricane disappear over the ocean! Yay!! 😊❤️

You stole the word right outta my mouth, Jennie. We were doing the happy dance when the storm headed out to sea, and we were left with no damage and almost no debris to clean up. Talk about lucky!!! 😊❤️

So glad you came through unscathed, Marcia. That’s a relief! Now, if only the heat would subside, you can start enjoying those blue skies. ❤
