Good ol’ Granny! The words sound so modern, I was surprised to find they were by Elizabeth Barrett Browning of How Do I Love Thee fame. I lives an’ learns! Many thanks, Marcia. ❤ 🙂 ❤

What a great quotation! It’s very appropriate for the time we’re living in. It reminds me of the Hal David and Burt Bacharach song from the 1960s that was covered by both Jackie DeShannon and Dionne Warwick, among others: “What the world needs now is love.” They sing, “It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of.”

Thanks for the reminder of those lyrics, Dennis. I clearly remember the Dionne Warwick version of this song, and I definitely I agree that we need more love in the world, for sure. Granny appreciates your stopping by this morning, and here’s to a day filled with love and laughter, and a great weekend ahead! 😀 ❤

I’m really glad you liked it, Jan. It’s one of my favorites, too, and to think it was said such a long time ago, by none other than Elizabeth Barrett Browning–and yet it holds true just as much (if not more so) today! Amazing.
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a moment to share your thoughts. Here’s to a fabulous weekend ahead! 😀 ❤
