It’s full-on SUMMER here in Florida, and for a Norseman, it’s miserably hot, especially given that heavy-metal suit of armor Thor has to wear. He’s complaining about the summer temps around here all day long. Of course, so am I, and I’m a Florida native, so I guess I should cut him some slack. Therefore, here are a few summertime memes to cheer him up. Hope you get a few smiles from these, too! 😀

And that’s a wrap, Folks!
Remember … Stay COOL out there!
(If you can.)

Poor, Thor 🙂 Thanks for the summer smiles, Marcia! Its been down right cold here, but it won’t last m

I can’t imagine it actually being cold anywhere, Denise. It’s beyond the scope of comprehension for me right now, as I sit here at 7:52am and the A/C (which is set on 80) has already kicked in. The good news is it’s supposed to rain this afternoon, which means it MIGHT only hit 90 or so. Nothing like overcast skies to help.
Glad you got some chuckles from Thor. (It has to get very warm inside all that armor!) 😀 ❤ Thanks for stopping by, and here's to a great day ahead! 😀 ❤

All very funny. It’s full-on summer here in Spain too! We are all melting, even the dogs. I recall my flip-flops sticking in the melted tarmac when I was a kid in southern Alberta.

I’m in full sympathy for you, Darlene. The only thing keeping the air cool enough to inhale without lung damage are the rains we’ve been having the last couple of days. (Plus the downpours keep that tarmac from melting!)
Glad you got some laughs this morning, and here’s to a great (COOLER?) day ahead! 😀 ❤

I can relate to these 😅🥵 It’s been pretty hot and humid here too so far (for the UK anyway)

I’m sorry you’re having a heatwave in your part of the world too, Cathy! Hope it eases up on you soon. At least here in Florida, we know it’s coming, have monster big air conditioners, and in our case, another smaller window unit in the bedroom so I can sleep in comfort without cooling the whole house at night. (Helps with the electric bill.)
Glad you got a chuckle or two this morning, and thanks for stopping by to let me know. 😀 ❤

Thanks, Marcia 💕 We’re not geared up for heat like this and it does seem to be getting worse. Just a symptom of the extreme weather conditions, I guess.

Very funny, Marcia and just what I needed after struggling through another hot night here in England – most of us don’t have air-conditioning so making do with a fan! I remember landing in Florida and baffled that there wasn’t any air-con at the airport and then stepping outside at long last and being blasted by the heat! Oohps, so there was air-con! Love the photo of the cat at the end!

So glad you got some chuckles today, Annika! And believe it or not, when I was growing up (back in prehistoric times), the only folks who had a/c were considered wealthy. As a teenager, I slept with a fan blowing across a huge bowl of ICE at night, just to try to survive the heat! I clearly remember the first place I lived that even a WINDOW unit air conditioner, and I thought we’d all died and gone to heaven.
Today, pretty much all homes have central heat/air conditioning units outside, even smaller less expensive ones and apartments or duplexes. I honestly don’t know how we lived without them down here. The good news is, I almost never have to turn the heat on in the winter. YAY!
Thanks for stopping by today, and here’s to your heat wave breaking soon! 😀 ❤

I wish the UK would get up to speed on home air con and door/window screens as our humidity and heat are reaching levels we’re simply not used to. I’m the witch going, ‘I’m melting!’ 😂 Thanks for the fun, Marcia 🤗💕🙂

I hope that happens soon, Harmony. I can’t imagine not having the option of cooling the house down at least a bit. And no screens? I never knew about that one! So you can’t even OPEN your windows to let in a bit of fresh/cooler air? What the heck’s up with that? (It’s not like those are a new invention or anything.)
I’m really sorry you are melting over there, and hope the weather cools down SOON! Glad you could find some fun in these silly memes in the meantime (memetime?) 😀 Thanks for stopping by, and here’s to cooler days ahead! 😀 ❤

Loved all of these – and the melting dog is particularly impressive! Even in the depths of winter, I’m not looking forward to the summer. It’s a real struggle for me here and so I’ve no idea how you cope in Florida! Keep cool, yourself! ❤ 😀 ❤

Glad you enjoyed them, Trish, and I’m sorry to hear that you’re struggling with the weather. We can usually cope over here because pretty much every house has a car-sized a/c unit outside that cools the whole place down.
We keep ours set a bit warmer than I’d really like it to help keep expenses more reasonable, and at night, we set the thermostat a bit higher to do the same. BUT! A few years ago, we bought a small (inexpensive) window unit for the bedroom so that at night, we can turn the central a/c up MUCH higher, and still sleep in comfort. (I like the room to be in the 60’s at night, so I’m not tossing and turning, and it would cost a fortune to keep the whole house at that setting. That little unit has saved us a fortune in electric bills.
You’d think that being a Florida native, I’d be fine with the heat, but I’m NOT. I hate hot weather and LOVE cold weather, and pretty much always have. Oh, well. Bloom where you’re planted, and all that! 😀
Here’s to cooler weather for you SOON!! 😀 ❤

It’s been hot here, too. Was 107 Tues, only gonna be in the low nineties today. I thank God (seriously) for air conditioning! Haha, that melting dog picture!

I’ve forgotten where you live, Vera, but wherever it is, I do NOT want to be there. Honestly, though, the heavy cloud cover and afternoon rains we’ve had all week are the only things keeping us out of triple digits right now, too. *sigh* July and August are on the way, and that will soon change. I’m with you on being thankful every day that we have air conditioning, and praying the power doesn’t go out during any of these storms.
Glad you like that melting dog. I can identify with him, totally! Thanks for stopping by, and here’s to cooler days. Eventually. 😀 ❤

Errrmmm … still not sure on which side of the pond that might be, but that’s okay. I’ll send wishes for the weather to be kinder to you, anyway. Triple digits is too much for most of us, for sure. 😀 ❤

Ha! I had it in my mind that you lived in Texas, but my memory isn’t what it used to be, so I decided not to make a guess. I hope you get a break in those temps soon. Triple digits are just NOT FAIR! 😀

It’s even hot enough at the moment that we are in shorts or summer dresses in the Highlands! I’m now certain I made the right choice in moving north – I really don’t do heat – totally equate with it being too hot to do the jobs it was too cold to do in winter!

Yes to that one, Debby! It’s too hot to finish all the yard projects we’ve been working on, and by the time it cools down enough to let us go back outside, everything will be all overgrown again! GAH!
I can’t even imagine it being shorts weather in the Highlands, and I hope the heat wave breaks soon. It’s bad enough for those who are used to it this hot. And even though I’m forced to face it every year, I purely HATE hot weather, too! I’m trying to remind myself that down here, we can garden all winter, and roses bloom the entire year long. (You have to look for the good stuff, right?)
Thanks for stopping by today, and I’m sending COOOOOL thoughts your way, my friend! 😀 ❤

I don’t mind hot temps all that much, I just really hate the humidity

Oh, ha ha ha. For a minute there, I thought you said you don’t mind hot temps all that much! Oh, wait. You DID say that! 😮
Okay, I’m over my shock now, and thinking you’re actually pretty darn lucky. I honestly wish I could deal with it better, but after all these years, I’m thinking that’s something that ain’t never gonna happen. The good side is that we never turn on the heat in the winter, even when we have a cold spell. (Yes, we do get them, ice in the bird bath and all, though they don’t last more than a day or so.) When those come along, we put the fireplace to use for an hour or two, and it warms things up just enough.
Thanks for stopping by today, Jeanne, and I’m glad you aren’t too uncomfortable in this weather! 😀 ❤

Yeah, I can handle hot temps ok for the most part as long as it’s not humid. When it’s hot and humid, it’s another matter. And I hate the cold.

We are exact opposites in that regard, Jeanne. I love colder weather. I should find the picture of us when we visited my daughter in Denver a couple of years ago. We had a picnic in the snow! There we are at the picnic table, all bundled up, having lunch, with snow falling all over us. 😂 I thought it was fun!

Our summer has been cool so far, in the 70’s. I wish Thor could send a few of your degrees up this way. 🙂

I’ll speak to him and see what I can do. 😀 While I enjoy truly cold weather, too, my ideal temperature range is from 60 to 70/72 degrees, so I’d love to swap with you. 😁

The melting dog is my favorite. Here in Ecuador, at 8,000ft, it’s mighty pleasant during the day (although the sun is very strong this close to the equator and high up) and chilly at night. It’s been ages since I wore shorts. 🙂 I hope you all get some reprieve soon. But summer has only just started yesterday.

Amazing the difference, Liesbet. It’s been summer here since … well, it’s been pretty darn hot for weeks and weeks, actually. It’s really starting to slam us now, though. I have a feeling July and August are gonna be pretty bad. BUT then we have a moderate fall and a very pleasant winter to make up for it, so I’m trying not to complain. Much! 😀
I hope your summer is a wonderful one, in every way! Thanks so much for stopping by today and taking a moment to say hi. I’m glad you got some chuckles and I love the melting dog, too. 😀 ❤

I’m guilty of saying that it’s too cold in the winter to do something or too hot in the summer to do it. They’re good excuses to fall back on! Thanks for the laughs, Marcia. 🙂

Whatever works to make life easier, eh, Nancy? I’m with you, at least in the summer. I don’t think I’ve ever been too cold to work, unless it was many years ago when I spent a winter in Alaska. But then, I was only 12, so probably wasn’t being asked to do very much work, anyway. 😄
Glad you enjoyed the post today. Thanks for stopping by and here’s to perfect weather ahead! 😀 ❤

Those are hysterical! I love the DiCaprio one best, LOL!
Now if we could just GET some summer in my region, I’d be happy. It’s been unseasonably cool and windy. Today is rain and 63. Ugh!

Glad you enjoyed them, Mae. A week ago they were predicting ten straight days of highs from 95 or so to 97, but all the bad weather that went through the southeast sent rain down here, too, and that has cooled things off considerably. It’s 88 right now, heading for 90, which (while still blinkin’ awful) is considerably better than 97, and Vera’s 107! Yowser!
Hope you get some summer weather soon, and I liked the DiCaprio one, too. 😀 Thanks for stopping by! 😀 ❤

Oh, we’ve moved beyond the flirting stage down here, Debbie. I think we’re at least at the point of going steady, perhaps even engaged. We’re at 91 right now, and could possible creep a bit higher. But then, you expect that in June in Florida. Sorry to hear it’s just as bad in Minnesota, and glad you got some chuckles to help you endure! Thanks for stopping by! 😀 ❤

That’s what Vera said earlier, John. I’m feeling almost frozen over here where we are only at 91 today. But I know we’ll soon be heading into those triple digits, too. Humor is the only real escape we have, I think, so keep on laughing, my friend! I’m glad I could help you with that. 😀 ❤
