Thanks, Gwen. I’m glad you enjoyed Granny’s choice today, and I agree it’s a reminder we all need to hear now and then. (It’s easy to forget when we spend so much time reacting to what others have sown.)
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope your day is filled with peace and love.

Awww. I love this one, Marcia. Reminds me of my dad who always planted trees for future generations to enjoy. ❤

Thanks, Diana, and what a wonderful thing for your dad to do. A great tradition for anyone to consider, too. We’ve lost ALL our huge oak trees since we moved in 18 years ago, but there are a couple of seedlings about 6′ high and I’m definitely leaving them for the next owners to enjoy. I want to plant a larger sapling in our side yard, too, but Mark still needs to be convinced. I just know how much I loved our completely shaded yard, and now, we are completely sunny. (Not nearly so nice, or so cool inside.)
Glad you enjoyed this one, and thanks for stopping by! Have a great week! 😀 ❤

I hope Mark relents. Trees are a beautiful gift to the future. And I can imagine that you miss the shade. ❤

OH, yeah. Our entire house was under a canopy, and you would not believe how much hotter it is inside now. (So, of course, there goes the electric bill!) Plus, they were just beautiful, and we’ve lost so many of the birds that used to nest in them. *sigh* No way we’ll ever have that again in our lifetime, but we do have a nice clump of loquats (Japanese plums, some call them) growing rapidly. They are beginning to cast a smallish shadow on the drive and front bedroom windows. Another ten years and it might amount to something. (When I’m pushing 90! Snort.) 🙄😁

I’m not a sun person, but I love sitting in the shade on a sunny day. Hopefully your loquats will take off and give you some relief. ❤
