    • It’s actually part of my new Time Management plan, Jaye. I’m taking a blog break every week, alternating between Thursdays and Fridays. I’ve finally been convinced I needed to slow down before I fall down, and I’m already feeling much less stressed. It seems to be working! πŸ˜€ Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! πŸ˜€ ❀

        • I felt I needed to choose days when I don’t run a regular series, so I went with alternate Fridays (so as not to impact #GrannySays, and alternate Thursdays, so I can respond to comments on #ThorsDaySmile. And I’ve cut back on my workload a good bit, so even the other days aren’t as hectic as they’ve been. It has made a HUGE difference, and I’m feeling less stressed each day, with all this extra flexibility. I also cut my wildlife talks from 2 a month to 1, which means 12 a year instead of 24. They were eating up more time than anything else, as they take quite a while to put together.

Try looking at everything you’ve been trying to fit into your week and hunt for things that can go away completely, and others that you can cut back on. It’s really working well for me so far. Good luck! πŸ˜€ ❀

          • Thanks for the advice, Marcia… we have been cutting back quite a lot, even though it affecting our ability to concentrate on marketing and promotion! This unfortunate, but if something has to give, we are determined it won’t be us…

            • Now you’re talkin’!! Whatever else needs to be adjusted is worth it, as long as you put yourselves first, and it sounds like that’s just what you’re working on. Wishing you huge success with your efforts to streamline your days and make your lives easier, while still hanging on to the things you most enjoy. Sending lots of hugs along the way, too! πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—

    • Sounds like a plan to me, Trish! I’ll start by writing this morning. Hope to have something new to share on the Beta blog later today! Thanks for wishing me well, and here’s to a good day for YOU, too! πŸ˜€ ❀

    • Thanks, Yvette! I always take a cruise through my morning emails before getting started with other stuff, even on my blog breaks. Putting out fires, or responding to those who want to schedule guest posts, etc. I have it down to a science, and did not have to spend long today at all. I’m working on my WIP, and doing some research. In a couple of hours, I’ll take a break from that and do some of the more physical tasks I’ve got on my agenda. LOTS of sorting through stuff and getting rid of lots of things that are no longer needed around here. Too hot to work outside, though.

Thanks for checking on me and keeping me honest! And have a wonderful afternoon and weekend! πŸ˜€ ❀

    • Glad you’d like to visit with us, Sue. I need you to email me so we can pick an available date, etc. I have a #TenThings Wednesday open for July 6, and #GuestDayTuesdays open July 12 & 26. Would be happy to have you for either series. All instructions are listed under General Blog Rules & Various Feature Instructions in the header bar, but we should set the date first.

      Thanks for your interest! πŸ˜€

    • Thanks! Friday turned out pretty good, Jan, and now I’m slogging through some backyard work in very hot, muggy weather. I think I’ve reached my limit and will have to work inside for the rest of the day, lest heatstroke knock me flat! But that’s okay. Inside or out, I’m making progress.

      Hope you’re having a great weekend! πŸ˜€ ❀
