I do find that a comforting thought! The things that take time and trouble to achieve are the things that you value the most in the end. β€

That’s true, Trish. In the long run, the things we have to work for mean the most to us.
Thanks for stopping by to see what Granny’s been thinking about today! π β€

Yep. One step at a time, even if the staircase is a tall one .

And boy, seems like they’ve all been long ones lately! π But the trick is to focus on the very next one. (Over and over again! π) Thanks for stopping by today, Jeanne! Glad you enjoyed Granny’s thoughts this morning. π β€

This is one of my favourite quotes. I had it hanging in my classroom where I assisted job seekers to find meaningful work. It was important they knew you can’t start at the top! I’ve climbed many stairways and still am.

I had not seen this one before, Darlene, and immediately wanted to share it. I can understand exactly why you’d use it in a classroom situation. So many folks are looking for instant success and gratification, not stopping to think about all the work that goes behind achieving these things. And yep, just when you get to the top of one stairway, you realize there’s another waiting for you to climb. And that’s a GOOD thing!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and here’s to making it to the top every time, even if it’s at a slower pace now and then.

Yup, a bit slower now but that’s OK. I have noticed that those who stop striving, deteriorate quickly. So, here’s to more stairs to climb!

Always!! When it’s my time to go, I hope I’m halfway up another one, still aiming for the stars! π β€

So glad you enjoyed it, Yvette, and I do think it’s a great quote to share in a classroom. Young folks need to understand this, and older folks need to be reminded of it! Thanks for stopping by to let me know you enjoyed it, too. (I’ll pass the word along to Granny! π) I appreciate it very much! π β€

And every step is a little more progress. I tell myself this all the time, Marcia. A wonderful quote. Have a great weekend!

Yep! I have a friend who used to say you can eat an elephant if you do it one bite at a time. π Kinda the same thing. It’s even okay to stop midway up those stairs to catch your breath, as long as you take the next step as soon as you’re able.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, Teri. I’m glad you enjoyed the quote and appreciate your visit! π β€

It’s true, no matter how small the steps are, we must take them. Great reminder, Marcia! π

Yep. Large steps or small, as long as we keep taking them one after the other, we’ll eventually get where we are going. Glad you enjoyed this reminder, Miriam, and thanks so much for stopping by to let me know! π β€

So true. But with any luck, you’ll recognize it when you get there, and maybe even be filled with gratitude and a bit of pride for having made it every step of the way. π Thanks for stopping by, Unpredictable, and taking a moment to weigh in! π
