#GrannySays #Wisdom #Inspiration #Humor

After talking to a couple of my blogging friends, I decided “Granny Says” should be a new series here on TWS. I have a large collection of sayings and quotes, ranging from the wise and inspirational to the clever and humorous, and I’ve decided to share them now and then, just for fun.  (And it helps that they’re ready to go, quick and easy while I’m still dealing with my slow, slow recuperation process.)

Since I started this Mon-Fri week on a humorous note, I figured I’d end it on one, too, hence this line from one of my favorite comedians of all time. Enjoy!

NOTE: Feel free to save the images if you like, and share them anywhere you wish. I’ll attribute the author of the  quote when possible, though many of them will be from that famously wise and/or funny soul called “Unknown.”

    • Ha. You beat me to it. I have that one made up already. Will save it for a later date. He was brilliant! (I guess he still is, though I haven’t seen him around in a long time.) Glad you enjoyed this one, and thanks for stopping by to let me know. 😀 ❤

    • Glad you enjoyed it, Trish. It’s one of my favorites. I’ve got a ton more (and not just of Steven Wright) and hope folks will enjoy these pearls of wisdom and/or funny lines. I’m going to enjoy sharing them, especially as I ease my way back into my blogging routines. Don’t feel bad about your clutter. Mark and I are BOTH terrible about accumulating things we think we can’t live without and letting them pile up everywhere. Thanks so much for stopping by this morning. Hope you have a smile on your face now! 😀 ❤

    • So glad you enjoyed it, Jeanne. And I do hope you’ll like the quotes I choose. I’ve got all kinds, but Steven Wright’s droll comments will be popping up here and there among them, for sure. He never fails to make me laugh. And that kernel of truth is what makes them so funny. Thanks for stopping by today! 😀 ❤

    • I know. Leave it to Steven Wright to point out the obvious and make it hilarious at the same time. And I’m glad you’re on board with the new series. I think it’s got a lot of potential for everything from inspiration to humor, and I’m looking forward to relying on these quotes a bit right now until I’m back to my normal weekly schedule, hopefully by October 1. But even after that, I intend to do them regularly.

Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me know that you like the idea! 😀 ❤

    • Those are things my own grandmother used to say, too, Lynda. I plan to mix it up in style and subject matter a lot, but hopefully, there will be something for everyone over the weeks ahead. 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by to let me know you like the idea! 😀 ❤
