Glad you enjoyed them, Robbie. I tried to choose something for everyone. π I do love that little fed-up squirrel, too. π Thanks for stopping by this morning! π

Still chuckling… I had to download the Star Trek calendar to show to hubby later. Heβs a huge Trekkie and thisβll tickle him something fierce. But for me, itβs that cat on the diet(s) that really speaks to me! Thanks for the yucks on a crappy Monday ππ€

Glad you enjoyed them, Jessica! And I love that calendar, too. Jean-Luc is the KING of face palms, for sure, but the rest of the group had their moments, as well. I’m just having my first cuppa Earl Grey, and haven’t yet decided on the crappiness factor of this day, but it IS Monday, so at least a certain amount of it is a given. I’m glad these helped! π Thanks for stopping by! π

I did have a huge chuckle in The Emissary when you dropped the Jean-Luc facepalm meme. It’s one of my all time favourite memes you know. Hope your Monday turned out at least okay!

I was thinking about that line when I found that calendar. Couldn’t resist. I did love TNG, and truly, could anyone do a face palm better? NO, I tell you! π I’ve got a bit of a cold so today was a draggy day, but not as bad as it might have been. And then TE3 got a second really great review, so that’s sending me off to my “sick” bed with a smile on my face. (Hubby is sleeping on the couch so as not to have me coughing on him during the night. Good plan.) π

Oh you poor sauasge! Sending you non-corona, non-germy virtual hugs from down under. Congrats on getting another great review too – I know how those make you feel great!

I’ll take all the non-badstuff hugs you want to share. You know, I was just thinking the other day when this mess is all over (surely it WILL be all over someday???) I wonder if I can go back to hugging my favorite folks again? It’s something I look forward to at every talk I do, especially with repeat folks showing up who’ve become friends. I’d HATE to think hugs are gone forever. π¦ π₯π

Ugh, I know. Iβm such a huggy person, itβs killing me not to hug. Especially my sweet little 90 year old residents π

Thanks, Marcia. I love them all, but the one about the ice cream van definitely rings true (and the calendar and the WP post)!

Yeah, pretty much anything that sums up the wretchedness of 2020 is worth sharing, I think. It’s going to go down in history as the Year of Liver and Onions, for sure. (And that will be the polite description!) π Thanks for stopping by, Olga. Glad they made you smile. π

Hahaha, so funny! The ice cream truck is the best one!

Well it’s certainly TRUE, at least. π I think The Year of Liver & Onions has a nice ring to it, don’t you? π Glad you got some laughs, Priscilla! Thanks for stopping by. π

Haha! These are great, Marcia. I’ve seen some of them before but they’re always good for a laugh. Love the Star Trek calendar. I could really use one of those π€£

Glad you got a smile. Some of them are worth a second peek, I think, and I figured they’d be new to a few folks. I love the calendar, too. As I mentioned to Jessica, Jean-Luc is the undisputed King of the Face Palm, but it’s good to know that given the provocation of a really wretched year, the entire cast and crew can do him proud! π Thanks for stopping by today, Jeanne! π

Hahaha. Love it! You know, I guess I can’t call myself a true Trekkie since I really, REALLY did not care for the first show at all.. But when TNG came along, Mark and I both became instant fans.Data remains one of my favorite tv characters to this day. (Who can resist a guy with green skin and yellow cat eyes?) And we loved Voyager, too. Seven of Nine was my favorite on there, as well, and needless to say, she was my husbands choice, too. I guess I loved the characters who just couldn’t quite figure out what made human beings tick. Those two shows made me really appreciate the whole concept, and remain among my all-time favorite tv shows.

I’ve enjoyed Star Trek from TOS. I remember being hesitant when TNG first came along but once I watched it I was hooked on it. I enjoyed Voyager, too. I liked Enterprise but not as much as the others. Deep Space Nine I think is my favorite, though. I haven’t had a chance to watch Discovery yet aside from when they aired the pilot, since I don’t have CBS Access. But I heard they will be airing the first season now to fill in their Fall schedule, so I will finally get a chance to see it.

You’ll have to let me know what you think of it. I don’t watch tv these days. Not enough time in my days, and something had to give. Writing, reading, and putting together my wildlife talks, etc, have pretty much taken over my life. Something had to go, and TV seemed like the logical choice. π I may have gotten the actual series names mixed up, but I never forget a good character, or a good line. π (“Make it so.” has been very useful for me over time. π Not to mention, “Earl Grey, hot.” π π π )

These are wonderful, Marcia! Cats really have that disapproving look down pat. I think mine practices in the mirror.

I agree, Teri! We have four of our own and have my daughter’s two here until they can be transported to Denver, so I have lots of cat expressions to study! (Add to that the fact that I’ve never lived in a house without cats in my entire life, and you get the picture.) I love that look, AND the fat cat on TWO diets hits home, too. Looks just like one of ours! π
Glad you got some laughs from these. Thanks for stopping by today! π

So much fun, Marcia! Thanks for the Monday chuckles. I especially loved the cat, the WP block editor and the Trek calendar–definitely sums up the year so far!

Glad you enjoyed them, Mae. And I love your choices. OMG, that block editor one had me in stitches. π As for the calendar, I think I’m going to do an entire post on 2020 memes. There are some hilarious ones out there, for sure, though it’s sad how true they are. Still, we have to find things to laugh at, or we may as well just give up. That’s my theory, anyway.
Thanks for stopping by today. SO good to see you out and about again. π β€

Yeah, that one is pretty sad, all right. Have you read Rachel Caine’s fabulous YA series on The Great Library? One of my favorites! Not to mention the covers are drop-dead gorgeous!

Well then, I really think you’d enjoy this series. The writing is lovely, and the characters are very appealing. And the take on the library and what happened is wonderful. (Can you tell from my superlatives how much I liked it?) If you give it a try, I’d be interested in your thoughts. π
