I knew I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on writing today for all sorts of reasons, so I’ve been taking breaks to play on BookBrush again. As you can see, I made a new header (even though I don’t normally promote my books from there), and learned that the black borders on the theme I use make it difficult to get all the pieces in the right place. Still, I think I’ll leave it up for a day or so,just because.Β The header for my writer FaceBook page fit much better.
Then I decided to show my last full-length novel some love and use the BookBrush project template sized for Tweets to make the above ad.Β That one worked perfectly. In another couple of days, I think I will have mastered this site and will be searching for perfect images to use for each ad. But when I’m done, I’ll have a folder full to start with in various sizes and styles. And I promise not to spend the next three weeks sharing all of them with you. π Still, for those who may have missed yesterday’s posts, I decided it wouldn’t hurt to give you the link one more time.

It really is, Jaye. Of course, I enjoy playing with graphics, anyway, but this is so quick and easy, I think most people will find it fun. π Good luck!

Play away, Marcia. Graphics are fun (when they work the way we want them to).

I like playing with graphics, especially when it’s totally part of my job. π Work that feels like play? How lucky are we writers!! π

This one is my favorite so far, Mae, when viewed full size. And it shows up well on Twitter, too. Tomorrow, I’ll be getting ready for my Backyard Birds program on Saturday, so I probably won’t have any more time for playing until next week. π¦ But then, LOOK OUT! π

I’m looking forward to spending a little more time on BookBrush. You’ve made some great-looking ads! They should pay you for the advertising π

Thanks, Julie. And I made these in my first and second visit, in a matter of minutes! I can’t wait to play around in more depth. So glad you have enjoyed these posts, and I hope you find BookBrush to be versatile and easy to use. As for payment, I’m hoping to collect that in the additional sales some effective ads would bring in. π (There’s a method to my madness!) Let us know how you fare with ad creation on BookBrush or anywhere else you find to be a good resource. π β€
