Nothing makes me happier than providing a bit of Comic Relief. Glad it made you laugh, Harmony. Now get those socks back on before your toes freeze! 🙂

Lol, I particularly love the going to sleep one – something I have now beaten, by taking a Dictaphone to bed with me!!!

Oooh, clever girl! (I’m thinking there’s an app for that. 😀 These days, my whole life is on my iPhone, you know..) 😀 ❤

I’m sure your iPhone will have a voice recording facility somewhere. If not, there will be an app, for sure. I carry the Dictaphone everywhere now, so I can record ideas as soon as I get them, then I can safely forget them and dream up the next one. So easy when I’m driving, which is where I get most of my ideas/snippets of dialogue etc,, which used to mean I had to keep stopping to write things down, as I couldn’t hold more than 2 or 3 things in my head at one time. No problem any more, and extending that to taking it to bed was the icing on the cake!

You know, I can honestly say I’ve never written down a single idea that came to me while doing something else. I’m pretty much at my computer every day, hours on end, and anything that flashes into my mind goes onto my virtual private bulletin boards. (I can keep separate boards for each book, WIP, general book ideas/event schedules & ideas, daily To-Do lists, etc.) So I do have the option to open the appropriate board and make notes. But never have I grabbed a piece of paper (much less a dictaphone) and made a single note to myself. (No wonder my head is so overcrowded!)
Hmmm. I’m thinking this probably makes me the exception to a long-standing practice. Maybe when I walk away from the computer for the day, I’m just done with that for a few hours. I do know I don’t think ahead to the next book(s). I’m always pretty much convinced that whichever one I’m working on will likely be the last. For one thing, I’m never quite sure I’ll have the energy to tackle another. 😯
However, having said that, I do have several “List” apps on my phone that I use for various things, and there’s no reason I can’t dictate a note there if need be. (But probably not while driving. I’m at the stage in my life where driving makes me nervous, and I avoid interstates like the plague, so I have to focus every shred of my attention on the road and the insane traffic surrounding me.) But I think your solution to your needs is brilliant! Thanks for sharing here, because I’m quite sure there will be folks who love the idea. I predict an uptick in dictaphone sales. 😀

Oh, yes, I’ve mentally written so many poems just before dropping off to sleep, poems which slip into oblivion by morning. The social media one made me wince – too much of the truth there!

I think we can ALL recognize ourselves in the social media one. OMG, you think you’ll do ONE thing and then get busy on your WIP. You looks up again, and realize there’s three hours gone you’ll never see again! Ack!! Glad you enjoyed these, Mary.

That one might be my favorite writing/grammar meme of all time, Mae. I love it so much! Glad you enjoyed these! 🙂

Bahahaha! Was getting so frustrated reading the last meme and them bam! It was ABOUT the grammar! Nice. I also loved the brain meme. That’s actual footage of me at nights. True story.

Just told Mae Clair that last one is probably my favorite writing/grammar meme of all time. It makes me laugh every time I see it. Glad you liked these, but I must say, Sleeping You looks very different from Smiling Wide-Awake You. (At least going by your gravator, anyway.) 😀 😀 😀

I alternate between laughing at that one, and groaning in despair at the truth of it! *sigh* Oh, what we could accomplish if we could only get to all the things on that daily list!!! 😀 ❤ Glad you enjoyed them, Kass!
