Update On Our Tuesday #ShareAReviewDay Feature

I’d like to thank everyone who has contacted me about the newest feature here on The Write Stuff: #ShareAReviewDay Tuesdays. So far, the response has been great, and I think the posts have been a lot of fun. This is turning out to be a good way to put your hard work in front of new potential readers.

In order to make this process easier on me, and to be sure you get the most out of your posts,  I’ve put together a list of instructions as to what I’ll need from anyone who’d like to have me share their review. You can find the information in the menu at the top of the page, where it says “GENERAL BLOG RULES & #ShareAReviewDay INSTRUCTIONS.”  Please be sure to send the items requested when you email me about participation, and I’ll happily get your post scheduled for you.

Those of you who are already contributors to this blog don’t need to email me first, but you might want to double check the list to be sure you’ve included everything needed to make your post as effective as possible.

I’m really looking forward to reading more great reviews from you folks, and don’t forget, you may submit more than one review. Just spread them out over the weeks ahead, and I’ll schedule them on the next available Tuesday.

    • Sounds great, Teagan. I’ll be looking forward to hearing from you when you have time. Glad you like the idea. 🙂 And yes, I’m having a great Sunday. Hope you’re enjoying yours, as well. Of course, I could do without it being 90 outside, and rising steadily, but that’s how it will be (and worse) for weeks and weeks yet. 😦 I guess I’ll be stuck inside writing for a while. Oh, wait. That’s what I love doing, anyway. 😀 Nevermiiiiind. 😀

      • I hear you. DC gets hot and humid, but it’s got nothin’ on Florida. We’re blessed that there have only been a few days around 90, because as you say, there’s weeks and weeks to come. The 1920s has an allure, but I’m grateful for central air conditioning!

        • You and me, both, Teagan. Believe it or not, I grew up in central Florida at a time when most homes didn’t have a/c. I had graduated from high school before I lived in a house that did! AND, get this, that very high school was NOT air conditioned either. It was a huge old 2-story building, with tall windows that were open most of the year, and those last weeks before school let out in June were enough to kill you. We had to write with fountain pens in those days (yes, with real INK) and I remember sweat plopping on my paper and making my test answers run all over the place. ACK!! Me go back in time? Only via books like Don’s, thanks. 😀 I’ll keep my A/C and my computer, and be just happy! 😀

          • LOL, yep! I grew up in Georgia — not much different. I was in my well into my teens before we got central air. My first year of high school was at a brand new school, that even had a “vo-tech” and brought in kids from the next county. It had AC. That was a first for the area. Small southern towns were slow to get things like that. Funny that the heat/humidity was just part of life to a kid who hadn’t known anything else.

            • I lived in Tampa, which isn’t a small town, but then it was much earlier than YOUR high school years. 🙂 And when I say no a/c, I’m not talking central air. I didn’t know a single soul who even had a little window unit for the bedroom. 😯 We sure didn’t. I would fill a big bowl with ice and sit it right in front of a fan, aimed at my face so I could sleep at night. And I kept a washrag beside it, so I could dip it in the ice water and cool my face if I woke up miserable. Which I did. A lot. While it didn’t seem unusual to me, because most everyone else lived the same way, I hated it, even then. I dreamed of moving north! To this day, I prefer cold weather over hot, but at least with a/c, I’m comfortable inside. BTW, we lived in Georgia for a few years when I was around 3rd grade. I remember it as being even hotter than Florida! 😯 To my child’s mind, it was the coldest place in the winter and the hottest in the summer I’d ever been. Hahaha.

    • You’re welcome, Mae. I’m excited to be sharing these reviews with others. I’m still ironing out a few kinks to be sure it runs as smoothly as possible, without slowing down my normal working too much. But since I put the instructions up at the top, that’s improved drastically. 😀 I wish I’d thought to do that at the beginning, but a few growing pains won’t hurt us. And this is something I think we can do for a long time. Unlike blurbs, which I’m glad you suggested I include, new reviews are an ongoing thing, and it’s always nice to share the latest ones. Hopefully, it will be fun and helpful, both. 🙂
