#CoverReveal #TheEmissary

I really shouldn’t be doing this yet, but since I only have a few minutes to post today, I thought I’d use it to share a sneak peek at the cover of my latest book. Shhhhhhh. This is very hush-hush. Just between you, me, and 3600 of my dearest friends! 😀 (Okay, blab all you want. I’m pretty proud of this cover and very excited about this Riverbend spinoff novella. Feel free to spread the word as far and wide as you can, and you will be the first to know when the book is published. Hopefully, within the week.)

But for now . . . TADA! The Emissary is on the road! Jake and Azrael are looking for troubled souls from Key West to Atlanta, Georgia! (And believe me, they find them, too!)

Now how gorgeous is that? *happy sigh*
(You may now resume your regularly scheduled programming.)
😀

    • Thank you so much, Cathy! I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Some answers here (to questions from Finding Hunter) and some brand new developments, plus all new characters. This series doesn’t take place in Riverbend, so it’s very, very different. 🙂

    • Hi, Karin! When I come see you guys, I’ll do a reading from the prologue, if you like, though some of you might have already downloaded the book. I’m so glad you like the cover. This was truly the MOST fun I’ve had writing a book. Azrael makes me laugh out loud, while writing. Of course, other bits made me snivel and cry while writing, too. I really hope you enjoy this little story, as I’m planning to do two more, then combine them for a set to offer in print. And nice to see you here today, too!

    • Thanks, Robbie. Take one overworked and frustrated archangel, and one recently deceased truck driver, and you have a partnership that leads to interesting book covers. 😀 This one does just what I wanted it to, I think, and the response has been great so far. 🙂 Now to get it on Amazon and see if readers enjoy the story as much as I enjoyed writing it. 😉

    • Thanks so much, Linda! It was almost ready to go when Irma came calling. Hopefully, I’ll find the time this week to finish up the back material, notes, acknowledgments, etc, and get this novella uploaded. So glad you like the cover. Me, too. 😀 ❤

    • Thanks so much! This might be a bit off the beaten angelic path, Marie, but I hope you will like it. It was so much fun to write, but also, pretty emotional, too. I hope it will appeal to a lot of folks. And Azrael is now one of my favorite characters. The big, sword-wielding warrior angel has won my heart. Hope readers will feel the same way. Glad you like the cover, too. 🙂 ❤

    • Well, to be fair, I had finished the final editing and proofing about 2 days before Irma arrived, so all I had left was the “back stuff.” I’ve done my Author’s Notes now, plus the Amazon blurb and Acknowledgments, so it’s the updating of my links, etc, and then I’m ready to format and upload to Kindle. HOPEFULLY, I can get that done in the next day or two, at the most. That’s what I’m aiming for, anyway.

I could learn to love novellas. The draft of this one only took me six weeks (compared to 3 to 4 months for my novels), and then the editing was really fast, too. I’m planning to write a new Emissary novella between each of my full length books, if this one does well. It was such fun!!

Glad you like the cover, thanks! 🙂 ❤

      • Thanks for sharing the process Marsh. I too enjoy novellas. With short reading times I like to get in more books with shorter reads. I’m saving the bigger ones for winter vacation. When I’ll be catching up with some your books that I’m sooooooooo behind on reading. ❤

        • Novellas are very popular these days. One could probably make a decent career out of writing them exclusively, though I’m not planning to do that. But every other book sounds good to me. And I do read them, myself, but if I’m going to spend X amount of hours reading every day, I don’t care whether it’s one long book or several novellas, as long as I’m enjoying the ride.

Now writing them is a different matter. I hope this one does well, so I can continue to do so. I can think of a few other Riverbend characters who could benefit from that treatment.

And don’t even mention being behind on the infamous TBR pile. For every book I read, I add about six more to the stack. Urk. 😯

  1. Wohoo! I’ve been out of circulation for a while, but of course I couldn’t miss a cover reveal from you. Very intriguing, Marcia. I love the blend of cloud/celestial covers and look forward to the release. Congrats!

    • Thanks, Mae! I love how Nicki did this one! Jake’s big semi plowing through the mist, under the cover of angel wings. Ah, Azrael! He’s just about my favorite character now. Except for Rabbit, of course. And Hunter Painter. Okay, so I have three! Is that so wrong????? 😀 😀 😀
