    • Thanks, Miriam. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Yep, I do love birds, and most other wildlife. I look down a lot, as well, because I’m very fond of snakes and lizards, too. 🙂 Nothing is more interesting than the animals we share the world with. 🙂

  1. What beautiful birds, Marcia. The colours are magnificent. If we were to colour in a black and white outline it would be considered unreal. The baby bird pics are very cute. Thank you so much for giving me a smile today.

    • Oooh, yay. Giving people smiles (and hearty laughs, too) is what I love most in the world. SO glad you enjoyed the post. And yes, they truly don’t look real. But those babies! OMG, too cute for words! And so READY to get on with Life, literally leaping into it a DAY after hatching! Wow! Maybe we should all practice being like baby wood ducks, taking that leap of faith more often. 🙂 Have a great day, Norah.

    • It’s one of those birds you look at and think someone made it up. But it’s real. And believe me, the wood ducks are stunning, too. Plus, they LIVE here, which means I get to see them often. 🙂

        • While I hate the Florida sun and heat more with every year (even though I’m a native!), there are things I do love very much. Our wild wildlife and the habitat of central Florida make it worth being here, for sure. I see so much, even in my own suburban back yard. I mean, you can’t complain when a bald eagle lands in the oak outside the window! 😀
