Good Morning!

First, a big thank you to those who have already followed me. You will forever more be known as the ones who have been here since the very first day, and I’m so grateful for your support.

Second, you may have noticed that I changed the name of the blog already. 🙂 WordPress assured me that I didn’t need to overthink the name while setting things up, and could change it later, so I have. I wanted to better reflect what the blog is about, namely writing and writers. Including me, of course, so I’m in the tag line, since all of my book info, news, updates, and excerpts will be here now. But I want this to be about other writers, as well. Especially, though not limited to, those newbies out there who are looking for as much exposure as possible. I will be offering that for them, via updates, guest bloggers, discussions, and more.

I also want to have a bit of a “forum” aspect here, so writers can talk to other writers about things related to…well…writing, of course. Exchanges of ideas, tips, and so forth, with a good helping of fun thrown in, because that’s just the way I roll. 😀

Let me know what you think of the new name, and when I get back home later today, I’ll have some new posts for you. In the meantime, have a great day, and don’t forget to write! (And if you are a follower who doesn’t write, don’t forget to READ. You are the ones we do it all for!)

Name change on new blog, already, ha! Read about it here, and please think about following. ESPECIALLY if you are a writer. I will use this blog to get as much additional exposure for you and your books as I can. Thanks!

    • Hi, Elizabeth! Great to see you here. I’m pretty excited about the extra opportunities this could lead to, in meeting other authors, and learning from each other. Hope you’ll stop by often! Think of it as a companion blog to Bookin’ It. Hope you’ll follow along.

      Have a great day!

  2. Thanks, Susanne! I’m hoping to make it a great place for writers to get to know each other and promote each other’s work. Hope you’ll do a guest blog for me one of these days. In the meantime, keep me posted on any news you’d like me to share. (In these early days, it will also get reblogged on Bookin’ It, and of course, tweeted, too). I’ll be glad to pass the word along.

    • Thanks, Evelyn! I look forward to seeing you stop in as this builds a following. In the meantime, please feel free to let me know any time you have news you’d like to share. I’ll be happy to post it here, and reblog onto Bookin’ It, until this gets busier. Have a great rest of the week.

  3. Hi, Jan! So happy to see you here. This blog is BRAND NEW! Only two days old, so you are among the first followers. I hope you’ll visit often, and PLEASE let me promote your new book here. (It will be reblogged on Bookin’ It, too, until I build a good following here). I want this to be a place where YOU can share news and excerpts, and anything else your writerly heart desires.

BTW, this is actually my 4th blog. I have Bookin’ It, which is now going back to being a bit more reader oriented, though there will be some overlap with The Write Stuff. I have Who’s Your Granny, which is a personal blog, with a slant towards gardening (and is very much neglected right this minute, but I hope to fix that), and I have a private blog, just for my Beta Readers. And now, The Write Stuff. Can you tell I far prefer blogging to any other form of social media? I’d pull out of Facebook altogether if I didn’t need at least a minimum presence there, and I don’t really enjoy Tweeting, but it can be pretty important, too.

I like Big Blogs and I Can Not Lie!

Stay tuned. And let me know when you have publication news for Ghost In The Canteen!

  4. Thank you, Patty! I like the name, too. 🙂 And thanks for following. Tell all the writers you know, and let’s grow this blog into something really fun and informative. I’m looking forward to it, though the first few posts will likely be mine, until I get a few more people on board.

Looking forward to hearing what YOU think! NOTE: If in doubt about leaving comments on this blog, please read the privacy statement in the menu at the top of the page.
