Touching Base Once Again!

Don’t know about you guys in the rest of the country, but I’m pretty sure those of us who live in Florida are OVER summer now, and counting the days until the first fall weather arrives. MAN, it’s been a hot one down here, but hopefully, it will start easing up a bit soon.

In the meantime, just wanted to let you know I haven’t forgotten any of you. I’ve just been dealing with several health issues that have slowed me down a lot. Mostly, age-related stuff, but also some heart issues that will necessitate a couple of hospital visits soon for various tests and the like. I don’t think I’ll need any major procedures, but I’ll be very happy for them to take a closer look and be sure we are doing all the right things.ย

I’m eager to get back to my blogging again, and thinking that if all goes well, I can do so soon. I think I’ll start with Wildlife Wednesdays, and have already planned what my first feature will be, so stay tuned! If all goes well, I’ll have a post ready for you next Wednesday that you might find interesting.

In The Meantime, STAY COOL, Folks!

    • I’ll narrow it down some for you … this particular post is about an animal with feathers. Did that help? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Well, stay tuned, anyway. I hope you’ll enjoy it, especially if you aren’t familiar with this critter.

Thanks for stopping by, and keep cool!! ๐Ÿ˜โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜

  1. I agree with you about the heat. Thankfully things have cooled down here the last few days so that we’re getting a sneak preview of autumn temps. Hopefully all need to do is have the tests done and nothing major, and you can get back to blogging more soon. I look forward to your wildlife post ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thanks so much, Jeanne. I’m sure looking forward to posting more often again, especially where wildlife is concerned. (Assuming I don’t fall face down due to HEAT stroke, that is! Man, we’ve had some STEAMING days!)

You take care, and STAY COOL! ๐Ÿ˜โค๏ธ

  2. I do sympathise about the heat – but it’s hard when we’ve had less than 5 days of summer weather here and today it’s a wet and chilly 60 degrees (in your money!). Still, the grass is very green and it’s easier to add a layer of clothes in this situation than have nothing left to remove in yours.

Glad you’re being thoroughly checked and looking forward to your wildlife post. I’m guessing it’s not a fish… โค ๐Ÿ˜€ โค

    • “easier to add a layer of clothes in this situation than have nothing left to remove” … Ain’t that the truth! One can only get SO naked, and if that doesn’t do the job, you just have to keep suffering. And 60 degrees sounds wonderful to me right now. We have to pay BIG BUCKS for the electricity we need to keep our house cooled down to a mere 78/80 inside. Arrggh. (The plus side being we almost NEVER turn the heat on in the winter! ๐Ÿ˜

And you guessed right. While we DO have some “flying fish” in our waters, none of them have feathers. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Stay tuned for an interesting creature that DOES have them on Wednesday. (Assuming I get the post put together by then, which is my goal.)

Thanks for stopping by, and here’s to us getting some autumn weather before too much longer. (Not that it gets really cool here or anything, but even a drop of a few degrees would help.) ๐Ÿ˜โค๏ธ

    • Aww, thanks so much, Gwen … and right back atcha with the love and hugs! I’m happy to be feeling better, too! Now if I can just pass the tests they’ll be giving me on the 26th and the 28th, all will be SUPER! Will keep you posted! ๐Ÿ˜Šโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š

    • I’m doing my best to make my doctor proud of me, and following all instructions, etc. Hopefully, things will be fine when I go for my tests on the 26th and the 28th. And I’m so glad to hear you are looking forward to Wildlife Wednesday. Hope I can get the post ready to resume the series fairly soon.

Thanks for stopping by today, Sue, and here’s to a great afternoon ahead! ๐Ÿ˜Šโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š

    • Amen to that, Kass! I have some great doctors, too, so I’m very hopeful to be kicking for some time, yet. ๐Ÿ˜€ โค๏ธThanks for stopping by, and here’s to some cooler weather soon, too! ๐Ÿ˜€ โค๏ธ

  4. I’ve heard that Florida (and many parts of the country) have been incredibly hot, Marcia. I hope temps fall for you soon. And continue to address the health stuff. That’s important. I hope all goes well with good results. Hugs.

    • I was raised in Florida way back B.A.C. (Before Air Conditioning) and I honestly don’t know how I survived all those summers. I don’t think I could do it now, not at my age. The heat really knocks me for a loop, but as long as we don’t lose power, nowadays, I have cold air blowing out of ceiling vents in every room. Of course, I won’t be going outside until October at the earliest. Possibly not until November. But the good news is, while many others are trapped inside during the winter, it is the PERFECT time of year down here to take long walks and enjoy nature! I’m really looking forward to it! ๐Ÿ˜โค๏ธ
