Sorry to have continued being MIA for so long, but it seems everything has gone awry at the same time around here. Between health issues and the resulting doctors’ appointments, my days have turned into a blur of stuff to do and places to go. My normally very, very quiet life has been turned upside down for a while. I do hope to get back to my regular posts and to having guest visitors on The Write Stuff before too much longer, though I can’t say for sure when.
Among other things, I’m wearing a Holter monitor this week, and being somewhat allergic to tapes of various sorts, the darn thing is itching me like crazy. It’s all I an do not to rip it off and throw it out the window. But I won’t. Probably. (They’d just make me start all over with it, anyway.)
I hope all of you are enjoying your summer, and maybe not dealing with temps in the mid-to-high 90s like we are here in Florida. Urk. I couldn’t go outside, even if my doctors would let me.
The good news is, I’ve got plenty of time for reading, and am enjoying being able to catch up. Yay! And surely it won’t be much longer before life gets back to something at least vaguely akin to “normal” around here. (Fingers crossed.)
Miss you all, and looking forward to resuming my normal blog posting and visiting guests
VERY soon! Big Hugs to EVERYONE!!

Take care of yourself. That is the important thing. We’ll be here when you get back.

Thanks, Darlene. I’m behaving pretty well … so far! 😀 Enjoy the pool. (I don’t do sun at ALL, so we don’t have one, but on a day like today, I can see where it could be fun.) 😀 ❤️

Hope you’re feeling better soon. Blogs really aren’t that important. Health is. 😃

True, Cee Tee, but “visiting” with my blog friends IS important to me, so I consider it good for my health, as well. It’s fun, and I think we can all use a bit more of that in our days. Hope you’re having a great one! 😀 ❤️

Take care and enjoy catching up with your reading. I feel your pain about the Holster. I only had to wear it for 24 hours and that was bad enough! Get well soon, Marcia

Holter monitors are not fun, but they sure do help with gathering info important to our health, so I’m trying not to complain TOO much. *mumble, grumble* Thanks for the well wishes, Olga, and I hope NEITHER of us has to wear one of these again for a long, long time. 😀 ❤️

Ha! You said it, Priscilla! But if it helps the cardiologist get an accurate picture of what’s going on with my heart, I’ll try not to complain. TOO much. 😁 Thanks for stopping by! 😁❤️

I love your positive attitude and your sense of humor. Keep the stiff upper lip and you’ll be blogging before you know it. Don’t break a window throwing the Holter monitor, Marcia. 🙂

As tempting as it would be to throw the monitor out the window, it likely would end up costing me a small fortune to reimburse the doctor for it, so I reckon I won’t. Probably. Thanks for stopping by with your well wishes!

Hang in there Marcia…

Consider me hanging in there, Bill, even though I have my grumpy moments from time to time. (Like every half hour or so, all day long.) But, hey … at my age, if this is the worst that happens any time soon, I’ll consider myself lucky. (Of course, I could change my mind when the doc gives me the results from the monitor. 😬) But I hope not! 😁
And thanks so much for stopping by! 😁❤️

I don’t think cool is in the immediate future, but I sure hope the settling down part is heading my way, and it can’t arrive too soon to suit me. Thanks for the well wishes, Debby, and I’ll keep ya posted! 😀 ❤️

My dear friend, let this be a time of leisure, and don’t worry a second about your blog. You need to rest, laugh, and savor family and friends. Sending love – ❤️❤️❤️

That sounds like a good plan to me, Gwen, though I’m not so much worried about my blog as missing it. But in the grand scheme of things, I’m pretty sure I can survive another week or two with the chit-chat having slowed down a bit. Thanks so much for stopping by and sending some love, my friend! It’s much appreciated! 😀 ❤️

It does help to lose myself in a good book, Teri, so I’ll continue to do that until this thing is removed. (Actually, I’ll continue to do that for as long as I live, I’m sure. Nothing like reading to provide entertainment and escape from the everyday chores!) Thanks for your kind words and here’s to a great weekend ahead! 😀 ❤️

Thanks so much, Jeanne! I’m looking forward to getting this monitor off on Monday, and hopefully, hearing some good news from the results it has gathered. Will update the blog when I know more.

I have that same reaction to the tape or glue! Ick! Sorry you are dealing with that. Hope things improve for you soon. Sending healing hugs xo

Sorry you have that reaction, too, Denise. It sure makes it hard when you have to wear a bandage that’s taped on. Urk! I think things will be much better by Monday, unless the monitor reveals something else that needs to be taken care of. At least the tape will be gone by then … I think!
Thanks for stopping by this morning, and hope you have a great weekend ahead! 😀 ❤️

You’ve been on my mind, Marcia. Take care of yourself. Sorry about the Holter monitor. My husband had a similar experience a few months ago. The tape gave him a rash.
Guess you know there is a new Cork O’Connor book coming out next month. I’ve already pre-ordered my copy!
We’ve had a “cool” summer for Texas. Mostly mid to low eighties the past several days, but it’s back to the 90s next week. At least we haven’t hit triple digits!
Hugs!
