Thor really enjoys colder weather … it’s warm wearing all that heavy armor while covered in a humongous wool cape, you know. Since it’s the first day of December, he asked me to find some wintery memes. I took pity on him and did. Enjoy!
And one more, just to be sure you get my drift. (Get it? My DRIFT???? Oh, Lordy! Sometimes I even embarrass myself!
Love it.
It’s very poignant watching from the Italian Alps, but we don’t have quite as much snow as Canada!

Apparently, NO place has as much snow as Canada! đđđ
Glad you got some smiles, Jackie! Thanks so much for stopping by. Sorry to interrupt your Alps Watching, but I do appreciate your comments! đ¤â¤ď¸đ¤

As you can imagine, I love looking at snow.
We get our first taste of sliding around on it tomorrow. First time since before coronavirus in 2020, so we’re hoping we can remember how to do it!

I’m sure it will come back to you pretty quickly, Jackie. Just be very, very careful! â¤ď¸

I’m sure it will. It’s pretty much like riding a bike.
We’ve both got new skis, but they are similar to the old ones, so I’m sure it will be fine!

I thought these might look familiar to some of you! Of course, down here, we are alternating between days in the high 60s (cold for us) and days in the low 80s (still HOT!) But lest you think I don’t know much about snow, I did spend six months (in the winter) in Alaska when I was twelve. (Army brat, here.) I remember it very, very well! We could whale-watch from our apartment windows!! But the snow was head high, and one day we looked out to see the Commanding Officer’s little house was completely buried. He had to be dug out! (So THAT’S what the 20′ tall flag pole on the roof was all about! đŹ)
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great (warm) one! đ â¤

We’re alternating between temps in the 40s and 50s here right now, with an occasional 60s. Not looking forward to colder weather and chances of snow. I don’t like cold weather all that much, and now that I’m an adult I find myself liking to look at snow but not liking to go out in it (or being snowed in and not able to go to work).

I love colder weather, but snow is only fun in the country. Nothing is worse than trying to navigate slushy streets in the city. URK! (I spent a couple of years in the Pittsburgh area, and remember it well.) Whatever you do, stay safe, my friend! đ â¤

That’s some serious cold, Marcia! I think my favorite was the one about watching winter on TV from Arizona. đ (Or Florida)

Winter THAT bad surely needs to be viewed from afar! Holy Moly, what a picture. Yep. Florida is where those folks need to be, but shhhhhh. There are already a kajillion winter visitors here! đ
Thanks for stopping by, Jan! Glad these made you smile. đ â¤

You’ve got some great ones in today’s post, Marcia. At this time of the year, it’s a gift to find reasons to laugh about the cold. “Cabin Fever” is pretty clever. That’s something I never thought to do, when I lived in the Northeast. Sending hopes for sunshine and warmth… â¤ď¸đâ¤ď¸

I really laughed at that one, too, Gwen. I’d never have thought to do that in a million years when we lived up north. And now I’m disappointed that I never tried it. I could have done an entire garden around one of our homes! đđđ

I love the images where the snowbound have fun in the snow-the cabin fever and the car face. They’re making light of what can be frustrating situations. Oh, and I wonder where the trucks took all the snow that was removed from the winding Canadian road. Wow! Thanks for sharing, Marcia.

Good question about where all that Canadian snow went. I couldn’t decide if the image was photoshopped or not, but it sure looks real enough. Eeep. Glad you enjoyed these, and I love the cabin fever one, for sure!
Thanks for stopping by today, and hope you have a great one! đ â¤

The notion of warm weather this close to Christmas is hard to reconcile with what we’re used to here. I’ll confess that we’re so close to the sea, the snowfall is either non-existent or (twice) super heavy. Loved that car face! âĽâĽ

I don’t have to be cold or amid snow to enjoy Christmas, but honestly, I’ve spent some that were definitely “shorts weather,” and that just does NOT feel right! Even for a Florida gal, I prefer it to be cool enough to maybe light a fire. (We haven’t had one in several years, but I still have hopes for this year. đAnd YES to the car face. I would SO love to do that. (Maybe I could make it work with wet sand at the beach???

I connected to the coffee one.
But, hey, should a Floridian be passing around snow memes?
Wouldn’t you be better suited to “Florida Man” headlines?

I’m afraid no one has ever accused me of doing the things I’d be better suited for, Mike. Sadly, I just blunder head first into whatever strikes my fancy, suited or not. *sigh*
I fear if I haven’t learned better by this stage of my life, I never will. SOOOOO … enjoy the snow memes, my friend, and we’ll see what happens next time. (And if I come up with our typical “Florida Man” themes … be afraid. Be very afraid.) đđđ

I have a board game called “Florida Man” where you have to guess the real newspaper headline from three crazy options. It is incredibly difficult.

We have one of those, too … it’s called the Orlando Newspaper! *snort* And it’s hard to believe ANY of the headlines are real. (I’m pretty sure the entire thing is made up from start to finish.) đŚđŹđŚ

Summer doesn’t seem to want to go away this year, though we have FINALLY had some mornings in the upper 50s to mid-60s. That felt great to me, but it’s still warming up significantly during the day. (Shorts weather.) I prefer it to be cooler at Christmas, myself, so I’M jealous of YOU! đ
Oh, well. Bloom where you’re planted, as they say, even if it means running the a/c on Christmas Day! (urk)

I love the painted snow, Marcia, and the car-face. Lol. And that Canadian roadway? Is that real? OMG. Thanks for the laughs. It’s snowing here, but I’m home having hot cocoa by the fire. đ

The painted snow was great, wasn’t it? I wish I’d thought about something like that when I lived in Pennsylvania! And the car is a HOOT!! As for the Canadian roadway, it’s hard to believe it’s real, isn’t it? I don’t know for sure, but somehow, it doesn’t look photoshopped. I’m pretty sure I’d never drive along something like that, though. It’s downright scary!
Thanks for stopping by, Diana, and I hope you’ve had a great weekend. Enjoy that cocoa by the fire! đ â¤

The walls of that roadway were too perfect I think. đ Our snow is already gone. No car-faces here.
