Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is my Blog Break day for the week, so I won’t be around much, if at all. (I’ll also be gone a good bit of the weekend, as I have a wildlife talk to give Saturday, and more house and yard projects scheduled for Sunday.)
Also, some of you might remember I was having some very expensive problems with phone and internet connectivity, etc, recently. I’m happy to report that since we moved the transmitter, we are now receiving a signal throughout the house, and no longer racking up horribly expensive cellular minutes. It’s kind of like real estate, I guess … everything is about location, location, location! And here’s a silly bit of doggerel that came to me last night while I was thinking about just that.
Wi-Fi … Why Fi?
Better yet, Where Fi?
Down low won’t fly!
It’s all about High Fi!
Told ya it was silly, but it made me smile, so I passed it on!
Have a great Freya’s Day, everyone!
LOL!! Very cute poem. Glad it is sorted out.

Better than it’s ever been, and all it took was some contortions and maneuvering around on the floor and behind the bookshelves. SO glad we gave that a try before investing in extenders. We may still need those at some point, but for now, things are working better than EVER. 😀 ❤

LOL. Cute poem. And true. Blocked wi-fi signals don’t work too well.

You got that right. But it was exactly where the technician set it up for us. GAH!!!

Enjoyed that bit of silliness, Marcia. I’ll be mostly offline tomorrow too. Enjoy your Friday!

Cellular minutes?! You don’t have unlimited minutes? Ugh! I’m happy you at least have it working a bit better for you. 🙂

Not with the plan that came with my latest phone. I have unlimited Wi-Fi usage, yes, but after a certain point, they charge $15 for adding additional cellular minutes, if the Wifi isn’t reaching the phone. Over and over again. GAH. However, even without that charge, the reception is now so much better, it was worth all the labor. I can’t believe that stupid guy who installed the service put it where he did, and that I was too dumb to realize it should be moved. Luckily, Mark can fix anything and has drawers filled with all sorts of supplies, including co-axial cable (I think it’s called). I’ve always said, “If Mark can’t fix it, it ain’t broke.” 😀 😀 😀

Glad it made you smile, Gwen. I was just doodling on my note pad, and it popped right out. Silly, yes, but a fun summation of what took place. 😀 ❤

Thanks so much, Harmony, on both counts. The little “jingle” made me smile, and I HOPE the talk will make my audience smile, too. I’m really looking forward to it. Hope you have a great weekend, as well, my friend! See you on the other side. 😀 ❤

Late responding, Diana, but it wasn’t my fault, honest. My ancient (12 to 15 years old) computer finally died, and now I’m going through the exciting (NOT!), fun (NOT!) process of trying to get everything back up and running on my new one. Being able to access my blog, my email, and my BANK was paramount, and at least I seem to have those now (knock wood). We’ll see how long it takes me to get everything else restored or repurchased or reuploaded again. *sigh* In the famous words of Roseanne Roseannadanna, “it’s AAAAAALLLL-ways somethin’!” 😁 Glad you enjoyed the little poem. And so far, we still have wi-fi! 😊❤️😊

Just reading about that process gives me heart palpitations, Marcia. When I go through it, I know that it’s going to take me days because something isn’t going to work right. Murphy’s Law applies 9 out of 10 times. I’m glad you have the vital bits together. Good luck with the rest!

That Murphy! His law is always popping up in my life! 😒But as I said on another post, with all that’s happening in the world today, if getting my brand new, super-duper computer set up the way I want it is the biggest problem I have, I’m a darn lucky granny!! Hope you don’t have to go through all of this any time soon. 🤗❤️
