When I was invited to join Story Empire last spring, I can’t tell you how truly honored and excited I felt. I’d followed the blog for some time and knew it had a well-earned reputation as an informative and helpful place to learn all sorts of things about the craft of writing. I still feel exactly the same way, and wouldn’t trade my time here for anything. But—you knew there was a “but” coming, right? —this year has not been kind to any of us, and I now find myself with several issues that are slowing me down significantly.

Thanks so much, Jeanne. I was just trying to do way too many things, and had to face the reality that I don’t have the same energy level I once did, and I was falling farther and farther behind. Something had to give.
I do plan on getting back to all my regular features here on The Write Stuff, so you’ll still see plenty of me. I’m going to focus on my writing and this blog for a bit, and see how that goes. I’m also learning ways to deal with stress, which has been a major problem for me this past year. (As it has for many of us, I’m sure.) But I have lots of things I want to accomplish in 2021, and I’ll be working on those now. Expect more posts here, and a few more books ahead, too! 🙂

It’s a hard one, isn’t it, Pam? We just don’t like to admit that we can’t do everything we want to do. *sigh* But sometimes, we have to prioritize and let a few things go. This was one of those times for me, difficult as it might be. Glad you understand, and thanks for stopping by to let me know. 🙂
