New Release: The Light by Marcia Meara #WakeRobinRidge

I have the extreme pleasure of being a guest on Mae Clair’s lovely blog, From the Pen of Mae Clair, today, and boy, has Mae done a bang-up job on this one! Please stop by and say hello, and while you’re there, learn the truth about wake-robins. (Hint, no they aren’t birds!) And check out the lovely slideshow, too. Spring is in the air! What a great start to the day. Thanks so much, Mae, and thanks to you guys for sharing this one far and wide. Hugs to ALL! 🙂 ❤

I’m thoroughly jazzed (chuffed if you’re on the other side of the pond) to have my good friend, Marcia Meara, here today with her new release The Light. She’s sharing a super cool post about wake-robins which figure into the series title, Wake Robin Ridge.

Confession time: this yankee thought wake robins were birds. Duh! Fortunately, Marcia is here today to set me straight and educate me about The Wake-Robins of Wake-Robin Ridge.

Thank you so much for letting me visit with you and your followers today, Mae. I’m pretty excited about the release of my latest novel, The Light: Wake-Robin Ridge Book 4, and hope folks will be curious to learn more about this book and the preceding three:

Wake-Robin Ridge
A Boy Named Rabbit
Harbinger

Happy New Year to You All!

Many readers have asked me how I came up with the name of my first novel, and…

  1. I’m delighted to have you visit with me today, Marcia. You know how much I love Rabbit and this whole series. And it’s great to finally know the truth about wake-robins. I was one of those people who thought they were birds, LOL!

    • Thanks so much, Mae. I’m thrilled to be there! And I do know you love Rabbit, which means a great deal to me, for sure!

      As for the wake-robin thing, lots of people miss it, or forget it by the end of the book, but it’s defined on the very first page of the prologue, at the very top:

      Prologue
      ~~~
      Wake-Robin (Trillium erectum): A species of flowering plant native to the east and northeast of North America. Named for its deep red bloom, the wake-robin is among the first flowers to pop up in the spring, covering the shady forest floors of the Blue Ridge Mountains with carpets of wine-colored blossoms.
      See? Would I lie to you??? 😀 😀 😀
  2. Loved Mae’s blog and the slide show. The wake-robins are so pretty and I associate them with you now because of your book covers. I’ve made no secret of my love for Rabbit – his background, his sweet nature, his idiosyncratic way of speaking and his special abilities. I think The Light is a stunning piece of work and my favourite out of your incredible stable of books. ❤
    • Wow, that’s a lovely endorsement, Trish. Thank you so much! It’s amazing how good it feels to create something that another soul loves, isn’t it? Makes me happy clear down to my bones! Life is good! 😀 ❤
      Thanks for stopping by today and for taking the time to say such nice things! You've given me an enormous boost, and after 2-1/2 hours at the cardiologist’s office, I needed it. (All is well. He's very happy. He's also very busy, and very backed up, hence the LONG wait.) Glad to be home, and catching up a bit. 🙂 ❤
    • Thanks so much, Don! I’m pretty excited about getting it out there. It took a long time, and there were way too many setbacks, but by golly, I did it. And I hope readers will think it worth the wait. 🙂
