D. Avery has a new release just in time for Christmas… A short story collection Ever After: Little Stories for Grown Children.
About After Ever
Big stories come in small packages. Told with the sure-footed brevity of fairy tales, After Ever is a collection of stories that explore dark depths and uncertain endings, flash fiction that often leaves room for interpretation and speculation. These are stories in which the grim tragedies of life befall characters of all ages. There are no happily ever after fairy tale endings, but there are flashes of resilience and hope. The heroes of these short stories are ordinary people who recognize the mystery, beauty, and small wonders contained in their ordinary lives.
Sample and savor each story individually or as a banquet of offerings both dark and light, tales of lives tragic and magical.

I’m glad D. took care of this one, Sally. I’m so far behind, I might have missed it had she not gone ahead and shared. VERY happy to see it this morning, and I will share from your page as well. 🙂 ❤

Lovely of you to share this today, D. I’m so far behind, I hadn’t even discovered it yet, so it was especially nice to see it awaiting me here today. I’ll share from Sally’s page, too. 🙂 ❤

Thanks Marcia. I appreciate you letting me use your site for my shameless self promotion.
Did I tell you how much I enjoyed “A Boy Named Rabbit”? Such endearing characters! It was a very strong follow up to “Wake-Robin Ridge”.

It’s my pleasure, and when you are able to post on days when I’m so far behind, it’s even better! 🙂 And I don’t think we’ve talked about Rabbit, but I’m so glad you enjoyed his story. He has now usurped the entire series, I’m afraid. 😀 Harbinger (#3) is where he really begins to come into his own with his gifts, and I’m halfway through The Light, in which he has a whole mystery pull him in. He and Mac have become a team to be reckoned with. 😀 Hope you’ll get a chance to follow along, one of these days.
BTW, I went straight from Sally’s site to Amazon and downloaded this book. I read the first story in the Sample page, and that was it for me. LOVED it, and will look forward to checking out each of these little gems in the days ahead. Perfect size for when I only have a few minutes to spare. 🙂 ❤

Thanks for the inside info on Rabbit. Yes, I’ll have to get Harbinger soon. I wish I had more time to read. (Work takes too much of my time.)
Thank you for checking out my book!

Oh, boy, do I understand the lack of reading time! SO many books I want to dig into, but haven’t had a chance to do so, yet. One great thing about short stories is that they can be squeezed into small moments of stolen time. (And after reading the one about the quills, I know I will be stealing time wherever I can for this one. Great opening story!) When you catch up with Rabbit’s adventures, I hope you will enjoy them. He always has something new to teach me and I try to write it down just the way he whispers it in my ear. 🙂
