I love them all, but especially the iceberg and the procrastinator. Also loved the meme about knowing what your character wants. I was stuck on a short story when a critique partner asked me what my character wantedβand I couldn’t say! Oops, time to rethink. Once I figured that out, the story flowed. I will print that meme as a reminder.

Very good idea, Liz, and I’m so glad you enjoyed these, and found one that you really want to remember. Thanks for letting me know! π

I’m doing it right now, Jacquie. I am supposed to be on a writing binge to finish The Emissary 2 by Friday, but there are sooooo many other things popping up, some of which I really have to deal with, and some of which I just WANT to. π Glad you liked that one! π β€

That second one about knowing what your character wants and what the stakes are brought me up short. I’m going to print it out as well because, well, because it’s true, isn’t it? Thanks, Marcia!

It is for sure, and so well put, Trish. I’m glad it resonated with you. It’s something we should keep in mind from the moment we sit down and type Chapter 1. π Thanks for taking the time to comment! π β€

I think so, too, Deb. In fact, I like it so much, I’ve shared it several times, for those who may have missed it. (Look. It works! π π π ) β€
