Me too, Jessica. But then, I don’t think there’s a single scene in the entire movie I DON’T love! 😀 ❤

I have always found this to be one of the most frightening cinematic scenes, ever. To me. Not sure what it is, but I still feel that way.

When I saw this movie the first time, I was about 5 years old, and I watched it from the back seat of our family car (at a local drive-in). I was on my knees, peeking through the space between the two front seats, terrified! The entire movie scared me, but the worst of all were the flying monkeys! As I grew up, I was drawn to watching it every fall on tv, and would wait all year just to see it. Those were the days before you could buy a tape or CD of the film, and watch when you wanted.
I grew to love it more than any other movie I’ve ever seen, and I’m having fun with this “Everything I Ever Wanted to Know About Life, I Learned From the Wizard of Oz” series. I’ll be posting for a lot of Sundays, yet. Hope you’ll see a few that don’t seem so scary to you. 😀

After 73 years, it finally clicked. Everything blows over sooner or later. Or, “this, too, shall pass.” It helps to remember that, I think. 🙂

True. But I wish life didn’t pass so soon. 🙂
