    • My first husband had one at some point. Me, I remember spending Saturday mornings lying on the floor in front of a console RADIO, listening to comic strips being read out loud. Hahahahahaha. AND, our first family TV had a round, 8″ screen, black & white, of course, but only got 2 channels. We thought it was a miracle, but we still listened to the radio more than we watched that dinky little set. Oh, and I was in first grade at that time, and we were the ONLY family we knew who actually HAD a tv, at all. 😀

    • See my answer to Chris, above. 😀 😀 😀 I used to listen to The Shadow (“What evil lies in the hearts of men? The SHADOW knows.”), Fibber McGee & Molly, Arthur Godfrey, and a couple of soap operas, along with the kiddie programs. 🙂
