My post yesterday on Goals made me realize (once again) that I’d be lost without my Sticky Notes on my desktop. Yeah, I know there’s one included with Windows, but it’s limited. I’ve tried several types, and my favorite by far is TK8 Sticky Notes.ย There’s a free version, and a paid one. The free version is limited to five notes at a time, so after using it for a while, I upgraded. I love all the ways you can keep your notes and reminders handy, yet not necessarily covering your desktop at all times. (I like my pretty wallpapers. ๐ )
If you’re looking forย an easyย way to keep your ideas, memos, grocery lists, and random thoughts organized, give the free version a try, and see what you think. Lots of built-in flexibility, and very handy, indeed.
I’ve never tried them!

Nothing to lose to try the free version, Mary. I’m far too scatterbrained to not keep notes, but I always lose the paper ones. This way, they are right in front of me. And you can minimize to the task bar, OR, just double click on the top, and the note folds up into a tiny little bar that you can stick on the corner of your computer screen, and double click to open again. Neat. I use different colors for different subjects, and would be lost without them.

Might try them. I do often spend a lot of time searching on my desk for the bits of paper I’ve made notes on.

As I say, nothing to lose to try them out. And if you don’t like them, you just delete the app. Tada. Your pad of paper is still there. ๐ ๐ ๐

Interesting. Would they work on an iPad?

They worked on my tablet, so I’m guessing so. Download the free version, and check it out. (Then let us know what you think). ๐

It doesn’t work on iPad. I think it’s only Winows compatible. I’ll put it on my PC

Thanks for letting us know. My tablet had Windows, so there’s the difference. (You can see I know nothing about iPads.) ๐

Oooh, I like this. I live for sticky notes. ๐
I’ve got a sticky app on my iPhone (but have since morphed over to a list app that I use instead). I do however, have a gazillion paper sticky notes all over my desktop. I am definitely going to download and give this a try, Marcia. Many thanks!

Hope you like it, Mae. I have found it invaluable. I keep one for sudden ideas or things to fix in my current WIP, another for Book Related posts, etc, I want to do. One is set up as a weekly ToDo list, and one with URGENT notes I don’t dare forget. I use them ALL the time, and my REAL LIFE desktop thanks me. ๐

Thanks Marcia. I had a programme I used in my computer but had to change the hard drive and never uploaded it again. Must give it a go. ๐

You know, I think I forgot we WEREN’T talking under this thread! Doh!! ๐ But yes, I think this is a perfect plan for you. Neat, efficient, and PRINTABLE, too. I keep my grocery list on one, and print a copy on shopping day. Wheeee. I love my toys, gadgets, apps, and pretty pictures. (I did mention how much I love pretty, right??)
