The Black Dog
I was invited to do a guest post at Misterio Press today, talking a bit about legends of the Appalachian Mountains, one of my favorite topics. It was a lot of fun to share with the good folks there, and I hope you’ll check it out, and share with your friends, as well.

Thanks for the reblog, Gerald. Hope you get a chance to read the post. Nothing like a sweltering day like today to put me in the mood to head straight for those mountains.

Fascinating stories! Have to say the cavalry sounds like classic evidence of aliens! I would love to know what their mounts looked like 😉

Those two are such bizarre sounding tales. Makes you wonder if there was something in the water! Aliens works for me. Why not? Surely they’d arrive here mounted on horses and fighting with swords. 😀
Whatever they are, I only scratched the surface of the types of legends that abound in these mountains. ALL interesting, or spooky, or funny. I’m sort of partial to Boojum, myself. Hahahaha.

That was a fabulous read Marcia. Perhaps all the legends could be a book in themselves. 🙂
