Sacha Black’s 2nd Annual #BloggersBashAwards

nominated

Thanks to one of our lovely writers, I’ve been nominated for a Bloggers Bash Award! Wow! And yes, you read right. See?

funny

First in Funniest blogger. The nominees are as follows:

Barb Taub, Lucy Mitchell (Blonde Write More), Tara Sparling, Linda (nutsrok), Ned Hickson, Meghan Sara, Seumas Gallacher, Bun Karyado, Ross Murray, Beth Haslam, Al the Author, Ronnie, Marcia Meara, Donna, Christian Touchet, Tim- things as they are, Tamzen Temple, Tabby, Fiction Fan, Paul Lander, Melinda,

I’m amazed to be included in this list of extremely funny bloggers. If I hadn’t been sick for a week, followed by a week of non-stop editing on my latest book, I wouldn’t be so far behind on my posts here, and you’d already have learned of this.

I apologize for being tardy, but it’s not too late for you folks to vote for your favorite bloggers in a whole host of categories. Voting is open until 12pm on June 9th. Stop by Sacha Black’s fabulous blog, and vote for your favorites! Share the love! (And this post.) πŸ™‚

And my heartfelt thanks for the nomination, and to anyone who thinks my blog deserves their vote.Β  I appreciate being included in this list ofΒ laugh-out-loudΒ funny folks more than you can imagine! (Ned Hickson, alone, has cost me a fortune in replacement keyboards, and taught me to stop drinking my Earl Grey tea while reading his blog.)

    • Thank you so much for your fabulous support of this blog, Carmen, and for thinking I deserve to win this! I really appreciate that so much! I know everyone says this, but it’s true: Just being nominated is exciting and rewarding, all by itself, and it’s an honor to be in that exalted list of funny bloggers! πŸ™‚

    • Thanks so much! That’s just how I feel, Marie. I’m touched and honored, and it has bolstered my spirits. (Which had begun to sag from exhaustion, but which are now back UP where they belong!) πŸ™‚

    • Yippeee! That’s one! πŸ˜€ At least I shan’t be VOTELESS! πŸ˜€ (Ooops. She’s been reading all those Brit Blogs again! πŸ˜‰ )

      Thanks, Linda!

    • Yes, much good luck!!! (I won’t say who I voted for, but her name rhymes with JebbyMaye!) πŸ˜€ And even if we were competing, it wouldn’t matter. I’m UNCORRUPTIBLE! (In my category, I voted for Ned! Hahahahaha.)

      • You crack me right up! Now, who’s this Jebby Maye? LOLOLOL . Seriously though, you’re right, it’s just lovely that out of so many wonderful blogs in the sphere that ours was even considered. It’s truly an honour and every one of the nominees are deserve to be there, along with so many others.
I had to laugh that you didn’t vote for yourself though. You’re a bigger person than I am Marcia. *She covers her face* okay, I admit, I voted for myself. LOL. πŸ™‚ ❀

        • Well, if I REALLY thought I was the funniest blogger, I would have voted for me, for sure. But I honestly think NED is. He just cracks me up! ALL the time. So, I had to go with my conscience, and I won’t be disappointed at all if (when) he wins! He deserves it! πŸ˜€

And yes, I suspect I AM a bigger person than you. (I’m 5’10” and, shall we say, full-figured!) πŸ˜€ But assuming you meant that in an altruistic way, I doubt it. Like I say, I just know who the funniest guy in the room is. πŸ˜€

And oh, yeah. These things: ❀ ❀ ❀

          • You are too cute! And yes, I did mean it in an altruistic way. You’re a true gem Marcia.
Oh, and hey, at least 5 foot 2 (and a half) can wear high heels and never feel too tall. πŸ™‚ Okay, granted 3 1/2 inches are the max for me these days, but still wouldn’t be without ’em. πŸ™‚ xo

            • We’d be fun together! In my younger days, I wore what we called “spikes” all the time. Put me considerably over 6 feet, and I loved it. Never, ever minded being tall. It’s being WIDE that I hate! πŸ˜€ But I haven’t worn heels in years. Too many foot surgeries, steel pins, etc. I’m always on a quest to find shoes I can wear longer than three and a half minutes without crying. πŸ˜₯

And yes, all my friends are shorter than I. Even the men. 😯

              • That’s what I love, a woman who wear her height proudly!
Sadly, yes the days of 5 inch heels are long gone for me too.
When my feet hurt, it’s Crocs to the rescue. And are you familiar with Vionic Orthoheel? I have slippers from them, the most comfortable (not cheap) with built in arch support. I think you can get them on your QVC or HSN shopping networks. πŸ™‚
