Before the month is over, I figured I should participate in Marcia’s October Writing Prompt at least once.
This month’s prompts are:

I decided to go with the first.
Flicker
Flicker, flicker, warm and bright
warm golden pools
throwing back the dark night
soft glow
flame atop a wick taking flight
