Bookmarks & Other Freebies

Do you have “swag” for handouts at book signings, or for other promotional purposes? I’m very interested in this, especially after reading Jenny Melzer’s post mentioning her custom blend teas in beautiful, themed tins. The only thing I have so far are my brand new, gorgeous, double-sided bookmarks. How about you guys? Would love to know if you have keychains, magnets, postcards, or other promotional material. Feel free to share your photos, too. So interesting to see what others have done, and to find out if they feel these things are worth the investment.

    • Thanks, Callum! I’m really pleased with how it turned out. My cover designer, Nicki Forde, did it for me, and I love it! She’s working on my business cards next. 🙂 I think you should definitely do this. And if youi do, please share with us.

      Have a great day!

    • If you get a chance, could you share a pic of your postcards? I’ve been wondering how to do something like that. My last bookmarks were a different layout, but now that I’ve got two WRR books, and a 2nd SG book coming up soon, we wanted to go to a format that would let us show more than one cover. I’m pretty pleased with it. I’m also thinking of doing another design or two, just for variation. Maybe an image on one side and a quote from the book on the other.

By the way, I ordered a custom tea from Adagio, and it’s on the way, in a quickly designed WRR cover. If I like it, I’ll order some for gifts, too. So glad you shared that site. I’m eager to try some of their blends, just for myself. I’m an Earl Grey lover, and I don’t often find brands of it that I think are really good. I can’t wait to try theirs.

Thanks for responding today, Jenny. I always look forward to your posts.
