Seeing #Snow for the First Time! #wwwBlogs

Couldn’t resist sharing these. My four-year-old grandson, seeing snow for the first time, in Charleston, SC! Not a LOT of snow, but to him, it’s magical.  I can tell from the expression on his face, he’s about to throw that first snowball at his mommy. (Or possibly, his daddy.) Here’s one kid who’s thoroughly enjoying the cold.

Can you remember your first snowball?

#NewYearsSale – Three Days Only!

Because I believe 2018 is going to be a banner year, I’m starting it off with a  bang! No, not fireworks–a sale! All six of my novels will be on sale for the AMAZINGLY LOW PRICE (says she, in her best pitchman’s voice) of $.99 each!

If you’ve been meaning to check out the spooky adventures of Mac, Sarah, and Little Rabbit, now’s your chance to get Books 1, 2, and 3 of the series for a total cost of only $2.97!

And if the eccentric Painter Brothers, the handsome Gunnar Wolfe, the no-nonsense Maggie Devlin, and the New Age power force, Willow Greene are more your cup of tea (Willow would LOVE that reference), you can get Books 1, 2, and 3 of the Riverbend series for the same amount. Just $2.97 for all three books!

However you do it, $.99 a book is a bargain for sure, and probably the last time this offer will roll around until the Fourth of July. Don’t miss out!

Whew. Now I’m tired of blowing whistles and banging drums and talking in a loud, obnoxious car salesman kind of voice. I can do no more. The rest is up to you. Hope you’ll take advantage, but now I have to get busy writing Wake-Robin Ridge Book 4.

Wake-Robin Ridge Book 1
A Boy Named Rabbit: Wake-Robin Ridge Book 2
Harbinger: Wake-Robin Ridge Book 3
Swamp Ghosts: Riverbend Book 1
Finding Hunter: Riverbend Book 2

The Schrödinger effect – Top 10 writing related posts 2017

Why the Schrödinger effect? Because words on a page, be that in a book or on a screen, reflect the living imagination of the writer, but are dead until a reader’s imagination gives them life.

For the writer, no matter what the platform, there are few things as satisfying…or as scary… as pressing ‘publish’. Writing can be both a joy and a source of panic and frustration, especially when it seems that writers these days not only need to be able to tell a story, they also need to be tech-savvy, social media and marketing buffs who never run out of coffee or inspiration.

There are literally thousands of excellent technical and professional articles on writing, blogging, publishing and the rest out there. There are posts that inspire, reassure or let you know you are not alone. According to the stats, the posts below are ten most-viewed writing related posts…

#$0.99 #SALE – THE PRINCE’S MAN, first in THE FIVE KINGDOMS #EpicFantasy series

Hi Marcia and all – waves from the UK.

I hope you all had a great Christmas? For me it’s all about joining up with the family and taking time off work without feeling guilty. The best thing is, after Church, my sister-in-law cooks the best ever goose with all the trimmings – a huge blessing as any of you that have read my bio will know that I can’t cook!!!

There was a tinge of sadness this year as this was our first Christmas without my father, who died in July at the grand age of 98, but my mother, at 97, is still with us 😀

I set up a WORLD WIDE SALE for the Christmas period, $0.99 (or the equivalent) for my award-winning first in my epic fantasy Five Kingdoms series, THE PRINCE’S MAN, and as it’s gathering pace, I’ve decided to let it run on into the new year. So until January 4th, if you haven’t already indulged, why not grab a copy at this tiny price?

My #Bookreview of #Paranormal novella The Emissary by @MarciaMeara a Riverbend spin-off

What a great Christmas present I found under the tree this morning. Okay, it wasn’t exactly under my tree. In fact, it wasn’t even in Florida. Or the U.S.A. But it’s still a great present! Rosie Amber’s lovely review of The Emissary. Hope you’ll check it out when you have a moment. My heartfelt thanks to Rosie for this, and for everything she does to support writers everywhere! Merry Christmas, All!

#ABRSC Read and Review – Marcia Meara, K Morris and Bette A. Stevens

I was very pleased to find the first review of my audio version of Swamp Ghosts on Robbie’s Inspiration, along with reviews for Kevin Morris and Bette Stevens. So happy that Robbie enjoyed the story and the narration! Check these out, if you have a moment during your holiday rush. And thanks so much, Robbie!

I don’t know how I have managed to do so much reading lately. I think listening to audio books definitely helps me make good use of my time. I have three more reviews of great books to share before Christmas just in case you are looking for last minute presents.

Swamp Ghosts: Riverbend Book 1 by Marcia Meara

I listened to the audio book of Swamp Ghosts and I really enjoyed both the book and the narrator. The narrator’s voice perfectly complimented the story and really added to my enjoyment of this book.

Maggie Devlin is a beautiful but conflicted woman with a past. She has lived alone, providing for herself by running ecotours from her boat, for a long time. She is independent and she doesn’t get involved with men, particularly men who either work for her or who she works for. That is until Gunnar Wolfe comes into…
