Images from Hurricane Helene

Saw these images  earlier and thought I would share, for those who have no idea just how horrifying a hurricane can be. Some of them astonished ME, and I’ve lived in “Hurricane Country” all my life. I hope we don’t see another like Helene for a long, long time!

Chimney Rock & Asheville North Carolina were hit exceptionally hard. See for yourself:

    • Wonderful place for a romantic engagement! Chimney Rock has been a special place to me for a very long time. My husband and I renewed our wedding vows there some years ago, and I’ve vacationed up there many, many times. It’s truly a beautiful and inspiring place, and I hate that it took such a terrible hit from this storm!

  1. It’s hard to imagine the personal horrors many people have gone through – but these sobering pictures help to bring the reality home. I’m so glad that you’re safe and my prayers and thoughts are with everyone affected. ❤ ❤ ❤

  2. I’ve seen similar images and more here on TV in Canada. I’m quite sure this doesn’t begin to cover the scope of the devastation. It’s just horrific. I feel for the many people whose lives have been changed forever.
