Quick Update on Tropical Storm Debby Before I Head to Bed!

It looks like we here on the east coast are in for a much easier ride than those along the west one. I wish NONE Of us were likely to experience Tropical Storm Debby, but alas, pretty sure parts of the state are gonna have some nasty weather, especially along the Gulf of Mexico. Hopefully it won’t be too horribly bad, though, compared to many storms we  Floridians go through.

I’ll check in with you in the morning to let you know how we fared, but as of right now, it looks like those of us in the Orlando/Sanford area MIGHT only be getting some MUCH NEEDED rain. (Fingers crossed!) And you can bet I’m also  praying we don’t lose power.

Off to bed with a good book now.

    • Flashlights & lanterns in every room, Nancy. Standard Operating Procedure for us when a bad storm is coming. We didn’t stock up on extra food this time around, though, so I hope if we lose power, it’s short term. Will let you know how we’ve fared in the morning. 😀 ❤

  1. You’re getting to be quite the pro at dodging these storms, Marcia. People like to tell me they could never live in our earthquake zone, but it seems like we all have our own phenomena to deal with.

    • I’m a native-born Floridian, Pete, and have lived here almost all of my life, so I’m kinda used to this drill. Now my husband is from Ohio, so he had a lot to learn, but he’s been here long enough to be an old pro now. And yep. No place is perfect, I reckon, though I have to say earthquakes would scare me into cardiac arrest. I guess it’s all what you’re used to. Will touch base in the morning to let everyone know how it went for us.
