#HappyValentine’sDay – #AnniversaryCelebration – #Daughter’sGoodNews

Hope you’ve all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day! Mark and I celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary today by visiting the bridge at Wekiva Springs where we were married. We spent some time walking the trails through the beautiful tropical wetlands (safely dry on boardwalks the whole way) and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

When we returned home, I had an email from my daughter, Erin, and the day got even better, if possible. If you live in the Arvada/Denver area of Colorado and are looking for a new house, you might consider contacting her. She’s EXCELLENT at what she does, and a really nice gal, too.

And now it’s time for our anniversary dinner … take-out chicken wings from Publix! Hahaha.  (Yeah, I know, but we had a very full, busy day, and I don’t feel like cooking, so that’s as good as it’s going to get tonight. Maybe we’ll go out to eat tomorrow.)

Again, hope all of you have had a wonderful Valentine’s Day! 🤗❤️🤗

    • Thank you, Priscilla! It truly is a gorgeous spot, and one where we’ve spent many happy hours enjoying nature and birds to the fullest. (Mark’s not a birder, per se, like I am, but he does enjoy the ambience, especially when there’s any kind of wildlife around.) We knew that’s where we wanted to be married long before we set the date. Hope you had a Happy Valentine’s Day, too! 😀 ❤

    • Thank you, Olga. It was lovely to get out and enjoy the beauty of nature at one of our very favorite places. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate both Valentine’s Day AND our 38th anniversary. Hope you had a super Valentine’s Day, too! 😀 ❤

  1. Happy Anniversary, happy Valentine’s Day, and congratulations Erin!
We’ve had a rather murky day in Cornwall, on the westernmost tip of England, right next to The Salt Path, made famous by Raynor Winn.
We had beautiful sunshine at the weekend, though, and walked to the smugglers’ haunt of Cadgwith Cove in one direction, and towards The Lizard in the other.
I am holed up and writing, as well as rather enjoying the mournful sound of the foghorn from The Lizard lighthouse!

    • Thanks so much, Jackie! I’m glad you had a sunny weekend and were able to get out and enjoy yourselves! Sorry it was a murky Valentine’s Day, but a little murk can make for a cozy retreat inside, especially if accompanied by “the mournful sound of a foghorn.” And I love the name of the lighthouse, too. Thanks for stopping by today! 😀 ❤

    • Thanks, Darlene. It really WAS a happy day for us! And thanks on behalf of my daughter, too. (She’s far prettier than I, especially these days, as I approach the Big 8-0!! Plus, she’s a genuinely nice person, too, and fun to be around.) Hope YOU had a lovely Valentine’s Day, too! 😀 ❤

  2. It sounds like you and Mark had a fantastic day, Marcia. Happy belated anniversary and Valentine’s Day! And cheers to Erin. Wishing her a fantastic career in real estate. After 35 years in the field, I still enjoy hearing of it, despite now being retired. ❤️

  3. We did, for sure, HHL! The park is a beautiful spot, with a crystal clear turquoise spring that feeds into the Wekiva River system, and lots of boardwalks through tropical wooded areas. We loved it before we decided to get married there, and love it even more now, after 38 years. 😀 ❤

    • Thanks for such nice words, Debby! We had a lovely visit to a park we hadn’t been to in several years, but which we have such fond memories of. If I could find the picture from our wedding day, I’d share that, too, but I’m still looking for it. (It really should be framed and on our wall!) Hope you had a nice Valentine’s Day! 😀 ❤
