For once, I think I got it right in that this one is going to be tricky! BUT, I wanted to share it because it’s not only a cool opening line, but starts out one of my very favorite books, and it isn’t something from the distant past. 🙂 Hopefully someone will figure it out. 😀 Thanks for visiting, Harmony! 🙂 (And believe it or not, I could retire comfortably if I had a nickel for every time I’ve typed my name Marica. My fingers don’t always get it right, either, even though I’m pretty sure I know how to spell it. 😀 )

I’m as clueless as Harmony on this one. The name is so distinctive that if I’d read this book I’d remember it (I think). I’m guessing from the spelling of moustache that it’s not written by a British author but that’s as far as I can go! Good luck to everyone else.

It is, and it’s a cool way to start this book, too. I wanted to share it for that reason and because I’m hoping some of you guys will read it, too, because I love it so much. 🙂

No idea on this one. It gave me a chuckle, and the name is distinctive, so I’m sure I’d recognize the line if I’d read it before.

It’s a great opening line, isn’t it? And the good news is, the book gets better and better from there. I’m not surprised that it’s a tricky one, though, and so hoping that some of you will check it out. SEE ABOVE. 😀 I just KNEW it would be something you’d like. I can’t say enough about this writer or these books, but I’ll save it for the Reveal Post later today. Honestly, the “lead” is one of my favorite characters EVER, in addition to the wonderfully written story.

I had a feeling this would be a toughie, and I’m not sure it would be your go-to genre, either, John. But I was hoping someone would pick up on it. If nothing else, I hope a few more people will read it after they see the answer. NOT that this writer needs more readers, exactly, but because it’s such a great book! 🙂 I had a feeling Teri would have read it and am sorry the line went on walk-about when she saw it.
