You had an EIGHT TRACK? WOW you were REALLY modern 👍😃😄

My first husband had one at some point. Me, I remember spending Saturday mornings lying on the floor in front of a console RADIO, listening to comic strips being read out loud. Hahahahahaha. AND, our first family TV had a round, 8″ screen, black & white, of course, but only got 2 channels. We thought it was a miracle, but we still listened to the radio more than we watched that dinky little set. Oh, and I was in first grade at that time, and we were the ONLY family we knew who actually HAD a tv, at all. 😀

I agree with the Ape. We never had an 8 track either!

See my answer to Chris, above. 😀 😀 😀 I used to listen to The Shadow (“What evil lies in the hearts of men? The SHADOW knows.”), Fibber McGee & Molly, Arthur Godfrey, and a couple of soap operas, along with the kiddie programs. 🙂

That was fun! I definitely don’t miss the 8-tracks or rabbit ear antennas but I still love a good rotary phone!

Rotary phone? But . . . but . . . but that would require REMEMBERING actual phone numbers, instead of just pushing speed dial! Ack!! 😀

I know. Imagine!
Weirdly, I still remember my phone number from when I was a kid and the numbers of all my close friends. I guess after you dial them over and over them become permanent fixtures, LOL!

You might think so, but wait a few more years. You’ll be lucky if you can still remember the actual FRIENDS. 😀 😀 😀

We are like fine wines, getting better and better as we age. (Aren’t we????) 😯

You bet. Better to be like a wine then to whine.

SO true! I’m going to remember that! 🙂 Winey, not whiney! Works for me. 😀
