Ghostwriting, Anyone?

Hope all you wonderful folk have been having great weekends. Here in central Florida, our two-day brush with winter is over, and temps have risen. It was a really beautiful day today. As was yesterday. Weather was just perfect for my Meet the Author presentation at DeBary Hall Historic Site, and I had a great time. The audience seemed to enjoy themselves, I sold books, signed my hand into a cramp, and met a lot of nice people.

One of the people I met is looking for a ghostwriter for a project that sounds really interesting. It involves a family history, and entails a murder-for-hire plot, with a lot of rather lurid tidbits that would make a great book. She brought along old newspapers filled with headlines, and frankly, done right, it could be an opportunity worth looking into. If any of you are interested, email me offlist, and I’ll put you in touch with this lady. (My contact information is under the About link at the top of the page.)

Now I’m off to finish getting ready for my daughter & grandson to visit this week.  I might be scarce for a few days, but I’ll check in during the evenings. Have a great week!

    • I think it really could be a good opportunity for someone. Like you, I can’t even think about taking on something else, and I don’t know if I could do the story justice, anyway. But there’s someone out there who could, I’m sure of it. Maybe someone will see this post, and realize it’s perfect for them. 🙂

    • You are very kind, She of the Many Exclamation Points! I think it’s a matter of my firm belief in what goes around, comes around, more than me being such a good egg. 😀 I don’t want to rain bad karma down on my head. 😯

Besides, sharing and helping where possible is fun. It makes you feel good when you can help someone, so it’s a win/win thing. (See, I’m really quite selfish. It’s all about ME!) 😉

Good to see you, BFF! Have a great week ahead!

        • If you say so, BW! I’ll just go polish my halo, and keep on keepin’ on, I reckon. 😀 Seriously, it’s very kind of you to say such nice things, and now I’m going to have to try really hard to live up to them. Oh, dear. (First, however, I’m going to run into the other room and tell my husband what you said. He’ll be stunned. “Was she talking about YOU? Are you sure???” And then I’ll reassure him that it has to be true…it was on the internet!) Hahahaha.

  1. It’s always wonderful to see writers helping others out. I wish I was any good at writing mysteries, but alas, I am not. It also doesn’t help that I’ve taken on a lot (too many actually) ghostwriting projects to begin with. 😦 I wish your friend good luck though!

    • Thanks, Skye. If you can retweet or reblog this, maybe someone you know can help her out. I was mind-boggled at the headlines she showed me. Someone could have a real opportunity here. But I know exactly what you mean. I’m swamped right now, and can’t add to it with another project, or I’d give it a go, myself. Not that I’ve ever done any ghostwriting, but I’m a quick study. 🙂

  2. Reblogged this on Skye Hegyes and commented:
As you all may know, I’ve recently begun my own adventure in ghostwriting. However, mystery is not my forte. If it’s yours, please feel free to take a gander at this post.
