As they say, “The hurrier I go, the behinder I get!”
Try as I might, I seem to fall farther behind each day. I reckon that’s one of the perils associated with growing older. Or maybe I’m just getting lazier? Whatever the cause, I’m sorry I haven’t been able to keep up with my blogging lately, and am working on ways to do better about that. Figured I should at least touch base today and let you guys know I’m alive and kicking. Well … not so much kicking, as it’s still too hot down here to encourage that kind of physical activity. But I AM still alive, anyway!ย
Sorry I haven’t been around much, but I hope to get back into Blogging Mode very soon! No, I mean it. Really. I’ve had some ideas for topics I’d like to introduce on TWS, and hope to get a few of them set up beforeย long. In the meantime, if any of you have a book you’d like to promote or news you’d like to share, please feel free to let me know. I’d love to help you get the word out.ย
Hope you are all enjoying the early fall weather in your part of the world … or at least are not having to deal with the remnants of a hot summer that just doesn’t want to go away? (You don’t even want to know how hot it’s going to get here by this afternoon!๐)
Here’s to a super day, my friends! Happy writing!
(Or reading!)ย

We had triple digits not too long ago, but it’s been in the 60s in the AM here lately and in the high eighties in the afternoon. Seasonably cool!
Hm…it might be fun do so some kicking.๐

Sorry about those triple digits, Priscilla. That’s just TOO dang hot!! We are likely to hit 90 or so again today, but at least that’s better than the 98/99 temps we were recently experiencing. The good thing is, Florida is wonderful in the winter time. *happy sigh*
PS, I can think of some kicking I wouldn’t mind doing, too. ๐๐๐

Glad you are doing well. I totally understand about not getting more done that you want to. I feel that way all to often.

Sometimes I wonder why we do this to ourselves … always expecting more than is reasonable, and frustrated when we don’t meet every single goal. We really should treat ourselves better! Let’s start working on that right now. (I will if you will!!) ๐๐

We seem to have gone straight from a wet spring into autumn and missed out the summer altogether apart from four days. Tomorrow morning, the temperature here is expected to be 41 degrees in your money – 5 in ours. I’d still rather this than very hot weather, though! Keep cool and don’t kick anything that isn’t soft as marshmallow. โค ๐

No kicking anything harder than a marshmallow. Got it! ๐
41 degrees (in my money ๐) sounds wonderful to me. It takes a LOT for me to feel too cold, and not much at all for me to feel like I’m burning up.
I don’t need it to drop below 32 (freezing) as it kills most of my garden, and ices up the birdbaths. But from say, 35, to about 65, I’m pretty happy. I can tolerate (barely) up to about 72-75, but once it goes above that, I’m gonna be spending my days inside in the a/c most of the time. Yeah, I know it’s crazy to live in Florida when you hate hot weather as much as I do, but I can’t seem to drag my husband out from under the palm trees! Urk. ๐๐

It’s so hard to stay caught up these days, so I relate, Marcia. I have a new book going up for pre-sale the end of September and releasing on October 22nd and I’d love to have a spotlight! Let me know what you’d need me to send.

Nice to hear from you, Marcia. Gotta take these things slowly which I’m sure you have heard before. ๐

And I have the t-shirt, too! ๐ I’ve quit beating myself up over not always being able to do things as quickly as I used to. I’m just glad I can still blog and enjoy my online friends, even if it’s all at a slower pace than it once was. Hope all is well with you? ๐

Thank goodness you are getting stronger and feeling better, dear Marcia. Many of us are behind in keeping up with the blog world, so please don’t worry. Just rest, enjoy the last traces of summer, and know we all wish you well. โค๏ธ

Thanks so much, Gwen! I’m definitely feeling better each day, and I have a check-up scheduled tomorrow, too. If there’s anything else I should be doing, I’m sure my doctor will let me know.
It’s still pretty hot down here, so I’d be perfectly happy to trade the “last traces of summer” for the “first traces of fall!” I’m ready for some cooler days, for sure. ๐But I’ll manage to deal with whatever we get, of course. ๐โค๏ธ

One of the energy saving benefits of hot weather is you can fry your eggs on the sidewalk. It’s good to hear from you, Marcia. ๐

True, but I’d have to toss mine from the doorway and race back inside until they’re done. (It’s too dang hot to actually go out there for longer than about 30 seconds at a time.)

Hi Marcia, sorry to hear about the issues, but we are all getting older and need to slow down. Don’t worry about not posting. We’ll enjoy your posts whenever you write them. I recently released my debut novel and have a Launch Week planned starting next Monday. If I can send you some info I would love to do so. Let me know. Take care.

I’ve been lax in blogging lately, too, Marcia. We can only do what we can do.

I know that falling behind feeling, sigh.
Autumn arrived with a bang this week, snow on the mountains yesterday morning ๐จ๏ธ๐ณ

No snow around these parts, I’m afraid. And no mountains for it to fall on, either. ๐ Sun beating down and temps near 90 (89, to be exact). Looks like tomorrow will only reach 88. Brrrrr. A cold front! ๐๐๐

It’s hard to feel motivated to do much when it’s so hot, Marcia. I hope that changes for you soon and that you find more energy in the cooler weather. Thanks for the update. Hugs.

Boy, you’ve got that right, Diana. These temps have me plodding around like a dim-witted turtle. I can’t WAIT for the weather to cool off and bring a bit of ZIP back into my life. A few more weeks, and then it will feel much more comfortable around here, I’m sure. ๐
Hope all is well with you? ๐คโค๏ธ
