When it’s so hot outside even the Florida gators are moving north!
At that point, forget your morning mile walk. You have to turn around after five minutes and head back to collapse inside in the air conditioning, praying that the power doesn’t go out!
😮 And to think it’s only APRIL! 😮

Stay cool, Marcia. Ice up your Earl Gray! 🙂

Good idea, Nancy, but it will have to wait until tomorrow. I’m only allowed one cup/glass of tea per day (according to my cardiologist) and I’ve already had it. 😦 But I’ll drink it ICED tomorrow, for sure!

I know! It’s going to be near 90 today and tomorrow. It’s crazy! Stay cool, Marcia.

It’s definitely not easy

Yes much too hot, 13 degrees here at the moment, sending over the cold wind coming form the east.

I’ll take any cool breezes you can spare, Janet! With a hearty THANK YOU in return! 😀 😀 😀

And it’s only gonna get worse. July & August are almost unbearable for me, and I’M a Florida NATIVE! Eeep!

We finally got some hot weather up north (84 today), so I can only imagine how sweltering it has to be in your area! Stay inside, and stay cool! ❤️

I have to water my garden EARLY, EARLY, EARLY! Soon, I’ll be out there with the hose before sunup! Urk. 🙄

Can be and IS!!! I have a feeling this summer will break a record or two. We will be taking our morning mile-long walk at the mall soon. 🙄

I’d swap a little (just a little 😉) of your heat for the still very cool weather here, Marcia.

I would take it, Cathy. I actually love cold weather. (I once spent a winter in Alaska, and still prefer it to be too cold than too hot. I mean, you can always add more clothes if it’s too cold outside, but you can only get SO naked before there’s nothing left to take off. 😂😂😂

Very true 😂 and I agree, I hate being too hot. A little warmth would be nice though…

Oh, goodness, it sounds much too hot to walk. Maybe daybreak, but that comes pretty early now. We vacillate between highs in the 50s and then low 70s. We even had hail two days ago. Spring can’t make up her mind. 🌞

Mid-to-High 80s here now, and 90s just around the corner. After that, it heads straight to triple digits! ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH! 😮😮😮

So far, so good. And the best part is that when issues arrive, my husband can usually take care of it. He’s very good at fixing things. Yay! 😀 ❤

I couldn’t cope! And you normally have pretty high humidity there I think. Keep as cool and rehydrated as you can. Sending love and hopes for a cool breeze. ❤ ❤ ❤

Thanks, Trish. It’s only gonna get worse between now and September/October, but then, we will have wonderful temps winter through early spring, and visitors will be coming from everywhere to enjoy it.
What I still find remarkable is that I grew up in Florida in a house with no air conditioning at all. (Only rich folks had it in those days). Thinking back on it, I don’t know how we survived. I do remember I had a trick of filling a large bowl with ice and setting it in front of a fan on my nightstand, so cool(ish) air could blow on my face all night. Happily, these days we can control the temperatures INSIDE, at least! 😁
