Ha ha, yes. We’ve just come back into civilisation after 3 months in a remote mountain village.
It’s very peopley.
And sireney and traffickey!

All of the above, and then some, Jackie! I’m working my way up to rejoining society the same way I’d approach walking on the moon … one small step at a time! ð âĪ Thanks for stopping by this morning!

Although we’ve come back into ‘civilisation’, I feel like I’ve just been around the dark side of the moon. We thought we were out of internet, but thankfully, our Italian sim card is limping along in France! I suspect it might stop anytime soon, though…

Good luck with that. I lost my Wi-Fi for three days last week and nearly lost my mind along with it! Here’s to “limping along,” if that’s what it takes to stay “connected.” But hopefully, it will smooth out soon. ð âĪ

We are in no hurry to leave the house, far too cold out there!

It was chilly here this morning, too, Jaye, but that suits me better than the steaming heat that will soon arrive. Now the Peopley part is a whole ‘nuther thing altogether! ð ð ð
Thanks for stopping by today! ð âĪ

We would rather be chilly than too hot too, Marcia, and we’re with you on the people part!

Maybe it’s because shivering isn’t as potentially offensive as sweating? Hmmm.
And people? I’d rather not. At least, not yet. ðĪŠ

Friends and family?

Had family at Christmas. Daughter’s group were all tested for COVID before flying, but because my grandson had a cough and congestion, they stayed at a hotel the first two nights to be sure he was over it before coming to our house. (Their idea.) Son & family had all been recently tested and deemed safe. So we celebrated like crazy. And we even went out to two public parks where there was plenty of open space and fresh air, and no big crowds. And last week, I ventured to a local garden center twice, but it was outside, too, and only a few other customers were wandering around.
That’s the extent of my braveness, and pretty much the only times I’ve left the house in two years, except for doctor’s appointments. I AM trying to work up to doing a bit more in the weeks head, a little at a time, and NOT anywhere crowded. Peopley places are still off limits! ð ð ð

It is a shame that we must consider this before we do anything… it’s no way to live!

The thought of a crowded city or venturing into a nightclub is a particular kind of hell for me! I like people, but in manageable groups … ðĪĢ âĪ ðĪĢ

I can get claustrophobic in a crowd in a heartbeat, Trish, even in normal times. These days, it’s downright scary out there! I did manage a trip to a garden center twice this week, as we are trying to spruce up our storm-wrecked yard again. But that was open air, with very few other shoppers around. (And I was still glad to LEAVE as soon as we’d picked out our plants.)
Good to see you this morning, and btw, your name is at the top of my “EMAIL TODAY” list! We need to catch up! ð âĪ

I order what I can online these days and send Mark for the rest. I did get out to the garden center this week, twice, but it’s open air and never busy. And STILL, I couldn’t wait to get home. ð
Thanks for stopping by this morning, John! ð

Exactly! And even then, only in small numbers, these days. I used to enjoy “peopling” a lot more, but I’m not sure I’ll ever feel quite that way again. Home feels better! ð
Thanks for stopping by today, Sue! ð âĪ

Saw the rheumatologist today, and hopefully will have some useful information when I see him in about 8 weeks. We may be nearing a diagnosis ðĪ. Continuing to reduce the steroids, so still treading water (as it were) but feeling more optimistic! Thanks for asking! Hugs ðĪððĪ

Sounds like some positive possibilities could be on the horizon, Harmony. So glad you are feeling more optimistic. I believe that’s a critical component in these kinds of situations, and I hope, combined with new information, you’ll soon be feeling much, much better! Sending you loads of healing energy and love and well wishes, my friend! ððð

Sad, but true these days, isn’t it, Kass? I’m working on getting back to the real world one tiny step at a time, but I’m much happier on days when I do not have to even TRY to leave the house. (Which is most of them right now.)
Thanks for stopping by, and here’s to things getting back to normal one of these days. (But I’m not holding my breath. Eeep.) ð âĪ
