Here are a few clever and interesting bookcases for you to admire. Or copy. 🙂
Here’s a clever way to fit bookshelves into smaller rooms, or where wall space is limited.
Another idea for where wallspace might be limited…or already filled with other bookcases. (Where you find these honkin’ big stone steps, I haven’t a clue!)
How about something a tad more creative? Is this fun, or what?
The perfect bookshelf for those of us who REALLY like things lined up just so!
Bookshelves needn’t be expensive to be clever and fun.
How about a bookshelf with a view?
Or a bookshelf you can sit in?
And finally, a bookshelf that’s really NOT, but reminds you of your favorite books every time you head upstairs. If we were still in our two-story house, I would SO do this!
Hope you enjoyed today’s Bookish Images post! Tomorrow, bookish quotes I love.

These are fab! I’d love a couch or a chair surrounded by books. I also love the stairway shelves and the stairs. Great ideas here, now I have to make some more space, lol. 🙂

I have so many cool pics of shelves. Some of them, I’m hoping to get Mark to build for me. He built all the ones in our family room, my library/office, and our ceiling high bookshelf headboard. He could probably do most any I picked out.
The sofa one could be just premade shelving units arranged around the couch. Very doable, if you can get the heights right.
My favorite, though, are the ones with a view. What a great spot to sit and read, though I’d probably be in the chair, rather than on the cushions on top of the shelves.

I really like the stairway and the ocean room with a view. Thanks Marcia.

Me, too, Rosie. Oh, that room with a view is divine, though…you could spend many, many hours there. Except that I have a feeling the view would interrupt my reading. A lot. 🙂

I love them ALL and nor I’ve quite taken by the last one which isn’t really a shelf: the stairway. I could do that. I have the perfect stairs… 🙂

It would be so much fun…picking out the titles you wanted to use, as well as the actual project. And then admiring it every time you trotted upstairs for something. It’s just a lovely idea! For those of us who tend toward the Bookish, that is. 😀

Oh, all of them are interesting. My favorite is the bookshelf you can sit in and then the one with a view. To tell you the truth, I wouldn’t mind to have to live in a bookstore.

Living in a bookstore could be fun, Carmen. Working there would be decidedly UN-profitable for me, though. I’d have spent my paycheck every week, BEFORE receiving it. 🙂 Thanks for checking these out. Got some quotes coming later today. Hopefully, a few you haven’t heard before.

Difficult to choose…Wonder if I could get away with the staircase as I’ve been thinking about getting rid of the carpet in my stairs for ages…
