#ReblogAlert – This Week on #StoryEmpire

One more week behind on reading the latest Story Empire posts, but that will soon change, once I’m back again. In the meantime, I’m still going to share them with you guys. (Just because I’m behind doesn’t mean you have to be!) So, here goes:

MONDAY: Mae Clair’s post deals with Plot-Driven vs Character-Driven Fiction, something I can’t wait to read. I’ve always said if I’m not invested in the characters, I’m not likely to keep on reading, so I can’t wait to see what her thoughts are on this. Check out Mae’s post HERE.

TUESDAY: Yes, Tuesday! This week, Story Empire welcomed a brand new author to the group. Check out who it is HERE.

WEDNESDAY: Can the Writing Gene Be Passed Down Through DNA? is the title of this one. You’ll have to head on over if you want to find out who the new member of Story Empire is. I’ll never tell, but you can see for yourself right HERE.

FRIDAY:  Gwen Plano is back with a very intriguing post entitled Hidden Diversity Among Writers. I’m looking forward to reading it, and all the SE posts I’ve missed while I’ve been on my blogging break. Check this one out HERE.

And there you have it for this week, the three regular posts, and a bonus one!
Happy Reading!

One More Week!

After much deliberation, dithering around, and mind changing, I’ve finally decided to extend my blog break one more week. I’ve gotten a lot of stuff done that I’d fallen way behind on, both on our house projects, and our garden clean-up/replant. I’ve also made good headway on my PowerPoint presentations coming up this year. And I’ve even written a bit, too, finishing CH 6 and most of CH 7 of my WIP.

Yeah, I’d hoped to write more, but I realized that some of these other chores were keeping me away from doing so, and by clearing a few more off my To Do list, I’m actually making a lot more time for writing ahead.

I know most of you will fully understand this decision, and I hope you won’t forget me while I’m gone. If you do, I’m totally gonna blame Diana and Sally. They encouraged me to take more time if I needed to, so it’s obviously on them!
😀 😀 😀

I’ll be back here on The Write Stuff May 31, if nothing dreadful happens to keep me away. And just so you know, I’ve missed ALL of you more than you can imagine. I’m looking forward to my return!

In the meantime, stay safe, stay well, and STAY HAPPY! See you soon! 🤗

#ReblogAlert – Sally Cronin’s Smorgasbord Weekly RoundUp

Still on my blog break. Down to the last day, now. Should see you all again on Monday, if all goes well. But TODAY, I get to share Sally Cronin’s wonderful weekly roundup post. By now, you probably know that Sally features more good stuff in a week than most of us can manage in a month! There’s guaranteed to be something for everyone, so I hope you’ll stop by and take a look, if you haven’t already checked it out.

#ReblogAlert – This Week on Story Empire

I’m still on my two week blogging break, but you know by now, I’m going to share Story Empire’s posts, even though I have not had a chance to read them myself. I’ll be catching up with all of them after I return, and am looking forward to doing so. They are ALWAYS well worth the visit!  So without further ado, here goes:

MONDAY: Stacy Troilo’s post is entitled How to Write a Sidekick, and I have no doubt I’m going to enjoy this one when I return. Check it out HERE.

WEDNESDAY: John W. Howell has a very interesting sounding post this week, entitled Let’s Talk About the Hierarchy of Needs. Can’t wait to see what it’s all about. You can check it out HERE

FRIDAY:   Joan Hall’s post today is about Summer Reading, something we all enjoy, yet often worry about as writers. For instance, is it a good time to release a book or not? Check out what Joan has to say HERE.

And there you have it folks!
Enjoy!

#ReblogAlert – Sally Cronin’s Weekly RoundUp Post

Still on my blog break, everyone (which feels really weird), but you know I’m not going to miss sharing Sally’s RoundUp post this week. I’ve only read one thing she posted this week, sorry to say, but it had my name in the subject line, so how could I resist? However,  I have no qualms about saying you should definitely check out everything that’s been going on all week, because it’s bound to be GREAT STUFF. (It always is!)

ENJOY!!
(And I’ll see you in one more week! 😀 )

#ReblogAlert – This Week on Story Empire!

Hi, Folks! Still on my blogging break, but I figured I could take a couple of minutes to share this week’s posts from Story Empire. I haven’t had a chance to read them yet, but I’m pretty sure there’s good stuff here. (There always IS!) So check these out when you get a chance:

MONDAY: Harmony Kent continues her series on dialogue with a post entitled Don’t Talk Like That: Talking Heads. You can check it out HERE.

WEDNESDAY: D. L. Finn discusses Writing and Emotions,  a subject that always resonates with me. Check out her post HERE.

FRIDAY: Craig Boyack’s post entitled Vella, Anyone?, discusses one of Amazon’s newest ideas, Kindle Vella, designed for publishing serialized stories.  See what Craig has to say HERE.

And there you have the Story Empire posts for the week. When I return from my blogging break, I’ll be reading and commenting on these, too, but I didn’t want you guys to wait that long. Enjoy!

#CatchingUp and Taking Some Time Off – #AlertTheMedia

Yes, it’s true! I’m taking some time off. For the very first time in nearly 20 years of blogging, I’ve decided I’m never, EVER going to get caught up, or even find time to finish my current WIP, if I don’t take some time off from my blog. I need a few uninterrupted days to sit down and WRITE for a change. Plus, we’ve been working very hard on some deferred maintenance issues with our house and yard, and I need a few days to focus on that before the temps get even higher than the 92 degrees that are already upon us here in Florida.

With this in mind, I’m not going to be available on The Write Stuff for the next two weeks, so my usual bi-weekly features (#MondayMeme, #GuestDayTuesday, #ThorsDaySmile, and #FirstlineFriday) will be on hiatus, too. And I probably won’t be able to do much in the way of sharing while I’m officially gone, though if I can squeeze a reblog or two in, I will.

This is NOT an easy thing for me to do, being addicted to blogging as I am. I mean, I don’t even take weekends off!  Ever! I will miss ALL of you while I’m working on other things, but I think I’ll return feeling much better for the break and the chance to dig out from under the heap of things I’m behind on.

I know you’ll all understand and will forgive me for missing some posts on your blogs, but just know that if I didn’t feel it was necessary, I wouldn’t do it. Thanks, and you guys behave yourselves while I’m away. (No talking about me behind my back! 😀 )

(NOTE: I will still be checking my email daily, so if you need me for anything, you can always reach me that way. )

See you in two weeks!

It’s a thought-provoking post, and if you haven’t already checked it out, you really should. You owe it to yourself! You can read Gwen’s post  HERE.

#ThorsDaySmile

My life is out of control this week, so no time for much, but wanted to be sure you got at least a few giggles today. So here you go. Hope they’ll tide you over until next week’s #MondayMeme post. 😀

And that’s it for today, folks. May not be around much, but will check in when I can. In the meantime, a gentle reminder for you:
